I prepared for this by not having a relationship to begin with!

I will achieve total cultural victory.

That sounds a bit more like a scorched earth military victory to me

A cultural victory is when your relationship can survive due to the both of you being into Civilization

$56?!? License and registration for 12 months for our 2008 Golf is $714.75. Granted, that went up significantly because the state government introduced universal no fault third party insurance as a part of rego, but last year it was in the high $5** range.

Its about $80 U.S. for 2 year registration in Oregon. My Jeep costs me about $600 a year for full coverage insurance. Our Hyundai is about $800 a year, but thats because its almost 2 decades newer than the jeep.

Yeah I'm a new driver still, and have full coverage.

I hope it goes lower eventually though, that'd be nice.

You're right: I should go for a space victory instead. Waaaaay easier to get into space if you don't have someone stealing half the capsule's oxygen supply and weighing things down.

We pay that too, I'm not sure what the exact figure is, but it's got to be around $1500/annum for comprehensive.

yo yo yo pages ago, BUT

be very careful when drinking herbs, as lots have unlisted effects. marketing likes to tout natural as healthy, and gloss right over stuff outside their advertising aim.

like kava -- good as a relaxant, but can affect liver function, and probably something to avoid while breastfeeding because of its effect on neurotransmitters. hibiscus is often avoided during pregnancy, along with habitual use of chamomile -- tisanes that are generally considered mild.

also, make sure you are getting it from a reputable source, and is the species you want, since common names are often repeated across wildly different plants. contamination, cutting with cheaper herbs (like adulterating skullcap with germander)/just low quality, drug interactions, etc. grocery store tisanes prepared to directions are probably not strong enough to cause much harm, and not nearly as concentrated as tinctures.

just do your research before you ingest stuff!

it's interesting all the herbs and fruits that have various drug interactions

    like

    grapefruit and many drugs

but i mean, it makes sense, otherwise herbal medicine would not have ever been a thing, the effects are real from a lot of these things

Its almost like food has chemicals in it! Lots of different ones even! If only we had a way to reliably test these compounds, and see what works and what doesn't. That sounds hard though. Someone should get on that, invent some kind of method or something.

grapefruit will fuck with some birth control like crazy.

there's this raspberry leaf tea down here that's billed as being "for maternity" and as being good for pregnancy. What they don't ell you up front (it's in the tiny print) is that raspberry leaf is sometimes used to start the labour process. So you probably shouldn't be drinking it early on. but that's not part of the advertising.
