PAX Aus 2016 Pinny Panel!

sennohkisennohki Hobart, AustraliaRegistered User regular

So, we're starting planning for the PAX Aus 2016 Pinny Arcade Panel.
Here's what we did last year : https://youtube.com/watch?v=jGjR2Scuubg

We're just starting on the basics, but if you have something you'd like to contribute, drop me a PM, on here or on slack.

Our aim this year, is to educate, entertain, and to grow the community.
(Three things I can honestly say we did very well last year)

If you need help I'm happy to help out. I really enjoyed the 2015 panel. Maybe we could do some more blind box openings? Or, like said on slack chat - maybe we should have a video series on how to get started on youtube.

to be fair half of the pins we gave away last panel were pins I still don't have.
    Integrity is a thing, yo.

Glad to see we've got some people wanting to help.
Thanks for bringing back "the package" lime.

We've also been discussing in the pax aus slack channel, the community trading event.
I'm sure we'll find something for everyone to do that wants to help out!

A community trading event each day would be fantastic (and yes i'm happy to help set it up).

    We've been approved!
tentatively scheduled for 12pm on Saturday.

Does anyone have anything specific they want to see or hear?

Focus on resources for new collectors would be my suggestion.

I would like to see a Skeletor based cosplay contest.

Bad news guys "The Pinny Arcade Community Panel: What Do They Know? Do They Know Things?? Let's Find Out!" is way over the character limit.

So we're just going with "Pins, We're Giving Some Out Come See".

You can't just bribe people to go to your panel. Gosh.

Does the panel need any of the bags from dsb's? Got a stack to bring down if you do.

We're waiting on schedule to see when we can do pin trading. @agentcooper has the files for the banner - so we'll have that on hand when we have the booth area available. Most likely we'll hold in queue room or hallway. Whatever works best. We'll have community trading available each day.

Does the panel need more empty blind boxes and the little blue bags for the pin giveaways? I found some I can bring with me to the dinner. Sorry- pins not included

Hi, I attended the panel this year as a newbie pin collector and it was great and very informative! I was wondering if anyone could help me with the stamp voucher, I can't seem to get it right on the pinny pals site. I know it had something to do with a dying art forms that fishfishmonkeyhat is particularly fond of... thank you!

    Great job by everyone involved!

Ayefks' points about ethics in pin trades was especially insightful.

It's been pointed out the Stamps page points you to the wrong page for redeeming the panel code, which was causing much confusion. That page is now clearer :P
