Possibly flames of war, because it's really popular in my area.
But I can could also use them to make stands of infantry and battle armor for Battletech.
Edit: Wait flames of war is 15mm, hm. Maybe I meant 15mm. I'm not really use to scales other then the general 28mm standard for table top yet. Battletech infantry and armor is 6mm though.
I've ended up with a chalky texture on the glazes (ie on the shoulder), and I'm still not 100% sold on the skin. The chitin parts are always going to be green (to match my Tyranid hive fleet), but I don't know whether to do the fleshy/'human' parts in pale skin tones, purples or reds. I've always struggled with natural skin tones.
I'm tempted to buy some more GSC models, but I have a box of Neophytes to build and paint and I'm waiting to see what they do for a Getting Started box for GSC.
The skin tones look good, but I think the color choices make it look more like he is wearing armor vambrace's, than it is chitin growing out of his arms. Maybe add a green gradient spreading out from the chitin, like it is infecting/converting the rest of him as it goes?
Painting has begun! Made some progress on the Khorne Prince tonight.
I think I'm going to give each prince a different shade of grey for skin. That should help unify the four of them a bit and leave me with something neutral to work off with red/green/blue/purple armour plates.
Not saying you should do this, but I kind of wonder how that would look without the head, just remove it entirely, and let the skulls in his shoulders be his "head".

That was exactly my plan, I'm just trying to nail the base skin tones first

Ok, I'm on attempt #5 trying to nail this Aberrant. Still a WIP. The glare from my LED lamp makes some of the highlights look a bit harsh; in reality, they're not.
@kneel that definitely relays your intent in a much better way. I dig it!
Also thanks guys, your praise sustains me :rotate:

Stupid-thing guesses:
The reflex sight thing on the pistol
The fact his hood covers his eyes
The way the spikes on top of his hood make it look like it's nailed in place.

It's just static grass glued in place with PVA. Then I blow up a balloon (no, really), rub it vigorously on my shirt to generate static, and then hold the balloon above the base, allowing the grass to be pulled upright.

They look like awesome 90s sci fi corporate goons, like out of Robocop or Syndiate or Crusader: No Remorse.
With different heads, theyd make some killer Delaque Necromunda gangers.

Anvil makes excellent products. Their casts are extremely high quality.

These sculpts are apparently only two parts (legs, upper body) but they're working on more posable sculpts of them.
After gift advice for a good friend who paints miniatures to a high level (ranks high in competitions). Anyone recommend any useful tools or kit thats a real nice to have?

Three in a row, so as not to spam the thread. Super happy with the Angel!
And a small bonus - testing macro rings on my camera again:
Also, while finishing the Angel it suddenly hit me that the model has one hilariously stupid element... can you guess which it is?

I'm using Dark Vengeance chaos cultists for a Raider warband, think I'll get these for the other gang and then force some friends to play with me.
