Looks like I'm definitely gonna go without healthcare in 2017, I don't make enough money to pay this a month, and I can't get ACA coverage anymore with a subsidy because my employer offers it
Holy shit, how is this a thing that can happen...
:bro:
i really hope your troubles are gonna get better soon, dude.
This isn't the Override Curse, by the way. This one is super common and par for the course in this country.
Especially since, in day-to-day use, Dropbox's interface is your desktop's already-present file manager (Explorer, Finder, etc) with some context menu items for sharing.
It's as out of the way as it can possibly be.

Also, folks, Microsoft and Apple have made it ridiculously easy to have OS level cloud storage for all your documents, pictures, etc.
Google, Dropbox, Amazon and others have also made it pretty damn easy to keep stuf backed up and synced across all your stuff.
Nobody should be unprotected re: backups of unique content any more - its become too easy and seamless.
Honestly the only part of my life that isn't backed up are my blu ray rips, because that's multiple TB of stuff, and I have the discs still if I ever needed to do it again for whatever reason.
I use CrashPlan for cloud backup of some 600 jiggabutts of various media I really don't want to lose.
Yeah, I tried to like google drive, but they focused way too much effort on the web interface and integration with google docs. It doesn't serve well as a file storage/sharing like dropbox does. If you're using google docs only, it's good.
not a doctor, not a lawyer, examples I use may not be fully researched so don't take out of context plz, don't @ me

nexus 90% of us aren't good at video games. The average age of chat will verify that. That's just straight up real-talk. None of us are going to be pro. You have outliers like skippy, frostee, scheck etc who are at the high end of their age range but none of us were ever going to Worlds or Opening Week or whatever.
I'm not trying to tell you how you should feel, but, just learn to enjoy the game (whatever game it is) in spite of your skill level.
Also part of the fun is supposed to be being able to revel in your badness..generally speaking. Obviously not everyone feels this way and that's OK too, but we're mostly salty coots here

I have a TB from Apple and 2TB from Dropbox.
The Apple one basically keeps my laptop and iMac 100% in sync with desktop, documents, etc. as well as all my music and photos.
The Dropbox one has all my studio stuff, work projects, etc. as well as my 1password vault.
The dropbox one is protected by SMS two factor, the apple one is protected by Apple's two factor stuff, and everything else from microsoft, google, etc. is protected by a 6 digit randomly generated two factor code from the google auth app.
I love the knowledge that I could throw my computers, tablets and phone into a wood chipper and after a single trip to the apple store and a phone call with AT&T I could be 100% back on my feet as if nothing happened in a single day.

I was going to make a porn joke but I didn't feel like it had enough zazz.
So I see insurance companies are doing the cash grab thing before ACA becomes single payer under Hilldawg.

cant decide if I should have this washer repaired or not. $80 for the service call. It's probably the motor or coupler. Coupler is cheap, motor is ~$275
at the same time this is an 11 year old washer, what other adventures await? Control board is $300..that could go out any time.
Ugh I need to get my car inspected. Really should have done it on my day off last week but Didn't Feel Like It™ and thought it'd be fine to wait til today except now I'm sick.

And, like, the best part is that it takes zero discipline from me; I don't have to think about where I put stuff or running backups or anything, as I make stuff it just gets whisked away into secure online storage. Every picture I take and every bit of code I write is backed up and preserved.
i don't have anything that i backup. p sure there's no content on my computer i'd terribly mind losing (excepting like, a couple hundred kilobytes worth of text files with financial information that are in dropbox).
That's a backup!
Also, if you have an iCloud Photo Library that's a backup too.

God damn it being fiscally responsible is hard
I'm going through this with my car right now, only servicing it might kill me.

what's fun
True
I find games unfun if I just lose/spend all my time dead. That gets old.

Play with me so you look competent in comparison
I am terrible at overwatch. It's still fun though, as long as you stay away from the hellscape of tryhards that is ranked.
Let's make it happen
