cant decide if I should have this washer repaired or not. $80 for the service call. It's probably the motor or coupler. Coupler is cheap, motor is ~$275
at the same time this is an 11 year old washer, what other adventures await? Control board is $300..that could go out any time.
God damn it being fiscally responsible is hard
Washateria until you can see Black Friday's deals in ~three weeks.
This is a really good plan.
Spend 10-15 bucks in quarters over the next few weeks and then grab something at a reasonable price.

Yeah from our company, the state govt options, and a friends company we saw an average of an 85% increase this year across the board. Some people were as high as 130%
If I'd stayed with my insurance instead of switching to wife's we'd go from $400 a month for she and I to $750 a month
are YOU on the beer list?

Yeah we don't have anything related to the pipeline on our ballots so I've reached out to our senate and house reps just to tell them I'd appreciate it if they'd oppose it in any way and donated some money to the tribe and their legal defense fund and signed the petitions.
Allow me to tutor you in the two great secrets of being good at team FPSes; two simple tricks that pubbies don't want you to know.
1) Team grouping.
This is not as simple as 'don't go in solo' though it sometimes gets portrayed as this (and this part is true). Overwatch in particular, as a game with ults, should be understood as a game where - to win matches - you want to try and use your ults in a concerted push. This generally means being disciplined enough not to panic ult to survive, but also to watch for big, team-fight ults (Zarya, Lucio, Mei) and use yours in concert. It also means watching your healers' backs against flankers.
Think about if Overwatch (or CS or any other team FPS that isn't Battlefield) was played like LoL or any other top-down game*; if you saw 1 dude just wander away from their team just before a teamfight in LoL, would you think they were smart? Likewise, what about a Janna or Yi who was on the frontlines at the start of a fight; too easy to pick.
2) Positioning.
Everyone gets this wrong when playing 'naturally' because the driving urge playing games for fun is to go in and get kills. However, what you need to do a lot of the time to win is be able to break line of sight if you get low. Which means that a spot that can break 1 line of sight to the enemy 'zone' is good, and a spot that can break 2 in quick succession is great. If you watch pros you'll see there are certain spots they use (generally on attack) to build ult charge from range, before they commit to a push with possible ults. Also, high ground is almost always better.
These apply to pretty much every FPS you can think of, and if you start actively thinking about this stuff, you don't even need that great aim or reaction times to do well. I can't even flick shot right now (not sure why, some sort of mental block on the process), but I'm still good enough to place platinum because I play the game in a knowledgeable way.
Overwatch has a few other things, which are knowing what heroes are good for which maps (you can look this up, most meta Overwatch sites show competitive pick rates for maps), knowing roughly what the most-run team comps are used for (Reaper is used to counter triple-tank, Ana is for Genji/Reinhardt ults, Mercy is primarily defence while Lucio is offence, Winston is for countering snipers and KoTH, Mei is generally a stall hero for area denial and to split teams during an ult push, almost every team wants a Reinhardt because his shield is god-tier).
However, the big take-away is mindset. You can play games in two ways; for fun (which will often involving doing stupid stuff and losing, but in interesting ways), or competitively, where you need to look at how you play (and how others play) and reconstruct it to be optimal, and then practice it a lot. Now with matchmaking, unless you're either a god or a troll, you're going to be going about 50/50 anyway, so a lot of the time it makes more sense - as a recreation - to just play for fun and try out weird things. It's also worth noting that, again, if you're aiming to win, sometimes it's important to realise that your best win rate may not come on the character you feel most heroic on. A lot of people who don't play flex main support or tank in OW, and have made top 500 in those, despite not really being very good at FPS 'fundamentals' like aiming; indeed, support especially is more about positioning (and being on comms) than anything else.
*I have a personal suspicion that multidisciplinary gaming has surprising applications in individual games. There is a pleasant amount of crossover in theory between how you play, say, Starcraft, and how you play CS: GO, or even something like Stardew Valley.
...and of course, as always, Kill Hitler.
