i've caught myself almost making an impulse buy or at least looking for something to buy impulsively (like oh i wonder if there are any cool game kickstarters right now?)

DUE who is this hot doctor in Luke Cage because I'm in love

    Rosario Dawson???

    Burn it down

    Oh! Parisa Fitz-Henley

Yeah she speaks to like. My soul. Everything about her just resonates deep in my being in a way that I can't talk about any further without coming to deep conclusions about who I am and what I want in life but more importantly why.

    Also she's 39. Uhnf.

Get a rubber band and snap it when you catch yourself

i'm really good at maybe doing that once and then going "omg this is so dumb" and then just getting rid of the rubber band

    i've been fine so far

i think just being vigilant and aware of how often i want to just buy a dumb thing is enough of a step to prevent me doing it

Hey guys, you know that little online startup that's pressuring brick and mortar stores as the default way to buy stuff?

    It's called Amazon.

Well they just opened up a store at the mall selling books.

    :surprised:

In other news I crunched some numbers based on my last paycheck (I actually got a paycheck this month!).

I've personally brought in over 100K to my company this year.

I've been paid (in gross) maybe 10% of that, more likely 9.5% of that.

Supposedly if I just worked harder and bring in more money I will start seeing returns, but it seems to me that with those numbers those goalposts are going to keep shifting.

    Okay new plan DrArch
