Why are you worried about people noticing you not being a functional human in January specifically? I also know the lazy feeling, since that's something I try to fight all the time. It has combined with grad school in me to make ridiculously weird guilt trips I give myself for going home before I've been here ten hours. It's kind of an issue. Also, yes, news is depressing. I try to ignore it and also not think too hard.
I think I'm finally on the path (re: grad school) where results start coming in, but it's kind of frustrating that it's come as a result of me basically telling my PI that I didn't want to work on what he wanted me to because it was going nowhere. He's so bad about failing projects. I'm still on several of them and I've just stopped giving any fucks, which is not ideal. I only care about what's going to get me out of here, and so when I have something that works for that, I work on it obsessively until I'm depressed from not seeing the sun at any point during the day. Grad school is not a time for work balance, but that also just leads to depression soooo
Anyway I know that that's whatever it is, so I just try not to think of it too much, and also am somewhat detachedly amused when I realize how much the last couple of years have ground me up. I basically give no fucks about anything except getting out, which is... not normal for me, but at least amusing. Character growthy, even.
My relationship is fine, we see each other every weekend and chat at least via voice most nights, I'm just being whiny that I'm going to be separated from her for a bit longer than usual because of Christmas. It's not really a major thing, just human bonding neurochemistry hitting like addiction. And yeah, we're moving in together when my lease is up in late July, so that's exciting, though also far and there is a lot of stressful stuff I could ruminate on re: changes.
I am spent.
But more work to be done.
I hate this time of year. Most government folks are winding down. My area is on full steam for the next week. Just because of how everything works out.
I wish I'd understood literally any of Tactics' plot the first time I played it.

I guess for me it depends on what the point of that interview is.
If it's just a general question of how they, as show runners, work to ensure that minorities and other cultural groups are represented well, then it's fine to have them as they are show runners.
Of course the answer would be hire a talented and diverse cast and crew (and listen to them), so it'll be a really short panel.
