Deltia's build guides seem fairly up-to-date though. I haven't looked at the dungeon stuff but there was current info there on how to build for the veteran trial or whatever.

I love burning things with my magicka DK, but I think I'm gonna work on leveling up my Nightblade. He's being built as a sap tank in heavy armor, he is... far more durable so far. Just kind of sucks getting smacked off of my horse on the DK and then almost pummeled to death before I get up.

Like many other places I've looked, Deltia's stuff on dungeons seems out of date so an up to date resource for that would be good to include.

I'm all ears if you know literally anywhere that's up to date.

So while having trouble getting to sleep last night I did some cleanup of the guild bank by withdrawing a few materials and stacking them before depositing them back in but we're still often getting low on space with all the holiday drops people are getting doubles/triples/however many times I've seen the sugar claws recipe for of stuff and wanting to make them available to others. A few of us seem to be taking out and using an older crafting hollowjack/mercenary/whatever motif when we put in a less common skinchanger one so that part has been steady and my alt has enough enchanting now to start benefiting from deconstructing some of the glyphs that were taking up dust but there's still a lot of stuff useful for people working on crafting besides materials.

In particular Intricate items that max level crafters have no use for are plentiful and people should definitely binge deconstruct those even if they're too low to get actual materials out. You wouldn't get any skill gains by the time you could get materials out anyway.

I used up a bunch of the intricate ruby staffs today to finish up leveling my woodworking so thanks a bunch to whomever dumped those in. I'll stop putting in the more common holiday recipes.

You can ask people in the zone to invite you to a group and then you can port to the closest wayshrine to them.

Some of the Navigator NPCs will also put you really close to where you need to be if not in it. It might take a few hops but you'll pick up more wayshrines too.

A bunch of us have taken that approach which is probably why we've almost used up patterns from the Halloween event, the mercenary motifs, and the remaining assassin's league motifs are the really common ones like belts and gloves. But we still have 2 weeks left in the festival so that's a lot more patterns being produced by the game. Since I might want the festival title on my alt some day I've started using some of my spare motifs on her even if she can't craft them and may have to start doing the same to my mules too so they can be the fanciest people parked at the bank.

Hello, and Happy New Year to everyone!

As you know, we began discussing Homestead – our next update that includes player housing – at the end of last year, and mentioned that it would be coming to the PTS sometime in January. We’re excited to kick off 2017 by publishing Homestead on the PTS this Tuesday, January 3rd! We’ll have all the details and upcoming changes included in the patch notes, which we’ll post on Tuesday during the PTS maintenance.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and we hope to see you on the PTS later this week!

If you're in a guild with a decent amount of players, check your guild roster to see if anyone is in the appropriate area, right click his/her name and select "travel to", it served me well during the festival quests, but it should also help when you need to get somewhere you don't have any wayshrines yet.

I spent a few hours in Cyrodiil on my NB trying to figure out pvp. We had enough organization to go from defending Faregyl to taking 4 Elder Scrolls from DC. EP had the emperor on the ropes at Aleswell the whole time and we just ran the table on DC for hours.

    3 faction PvP is amazing

PvP in ESO feels pretty garbage to actually play though. I did some research and geared up and remorphed skills and made/bought consumables and I could still neither do damage to anyone nor survive longer than 10 seconds in a fight. I get how CC works but even so everyone is always stun immune and they can CC me multiple times in a row.

the best luck I had was pairing up with another NB who actually did all the damage, I just distracted his targets and jumped on anyone who tried to gank him in the hopes I'd live long enough for him to kill them before they killed me

or using my bow at range when the zerg was going somewhere. I got a ton of points but I'm pretty sure I didn't actually contribute anything to a single fight doing that

The only time I've felt like I made a difference in PvP was a time when I sneaked around and torched unattended siege engines while someone else distracted their owners. The hard to replace items that stack in inventory and cost less to replace than doing just 2 holiday dailies. We did eventually win that siege defense against 4 or 5 DC players by having double that standing by the door but it's was a stark reminder why MOBAs and Overwatch have come close to killing interest in MMO pvp for many people.

PTS patch notes are up: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/311708/pts-patch-notes-v2-7-0-homestead

    Start saving up gold:
    List of Homes
    Staple Homes
    Inns
Mara's Kiss Public House: As the least restricted seaport in the Summerset Isles, Vulkhel Guard has visitors from across Tamriel—and you're likely to meet most of them hoisting a mug at the Mara's Kiss Pub.
The Ebony Flask Inn Room: The Dark Elves may not worship Dibella, but down at the cornerclubs they show that they still know how to have a good time—in their own special way.
The Rosy Lion: This inn has always had the reputation of being the safest place in Daggerfall for common citizens in search of illicit services to meet their shadier counterparts.
    Apartments
Barbed Hook Private Room, 11,000 gold: Like every busy port, Skywatch has a seamy underside. A private room at the Barbed Hook offers easy access to the criminal classes—and a quick escape from the nearby docks.
Flaming Nix Deluxe Garret, 13,000 gold: Even if you don't personally have a taste for the famous fire-pit dancing at the Flaming Nix, you have to admit it adds a certain cachet to having a room there. Not to mention an unusual fragrance.
Sisters of the Sands Apartment, 12,000 gold: In Sentinel, the best way to hide out in plain sight is with a private room in the Sisters of the Sands, the town's largest inn. It also has the best food in the city, and is the place King Fahara'jad sends to for take-out.
    Small Homes
Autumn's-Gate, 60,000 gold: In the heart of The Rift, just outside the lively, small town of Nimalten, you will find this sturdy wooden home, with a large hearth to keep you warm in the Skyrim winter, and a stone wall to keep out the trolls.
Black Vine Villa, 54,000 gold: Would you want to live in an old stone house just across a dark jungle stream from a haunted Ayleid ruin? Silly question—who wouldn't?
Captain Margaux's Place, 56,000 gold: The famous Breton merchant-explorer Captain Margaux hasn't been seen since her ship the Golden Spriggan sailed off over the horizon into the Sea of Pearls—which makes her house near the docks in Daggerfall available for you!
Cyrodilic Jungle House, 71,000 gold: An Imperial, of course, is at home anywhere in Tamriel. This compact house at the Baandari Trading Post in Malabal Tor is a bit of Cyrodiil in Valenwood, and just steps away from the fine food and drink at the Silver Moons Inn.
Hammerdeck End, 65,000 gold: The house may be small, but the surrounding deck is spacious, convenient for outdoor dining, as well as the Orcish recreations of deer-fishing and taking archery potshots at passing assassin beetles.
Humblemud, 40,000 gold: A mud house is a constant reminder of the impermanence of life, and that we are but standing waves in the river of existence. But one still wishes it to look nice and comfortable, and decorates accordingly. Of course.
Kragenhome, 69,000 gold: This residence might not be in Kragenmoor's best neighborhood, but if you're looking for classic Dunmeri architecture at an affordable price, this town house certainly fits the bill.
Moonmirth House, 50,000 gold: A small elevated house on an idyllic plantation in the mild and hospitable clime of Khenarthi's Roost? This one would find that sweet paradise!
Snugpod, 45,000 gold: A perfect graht-oak pod home, grown by a Home Singer from the very roots of Elden Root—compact, comfortable, and convenient to everything. Praise Z'en!
Twin Arches, 73,000 gold: It may be small but it's solid, and it keeps the sandstorms out. The scenery is magnificent, but if you're in the mood for civilization, it's right outside the south gate of Hallin's Stand.
    Classic Homes
    Medium Homes
Bouldertree Refuge, 190,000 gold: When civilization grows too confining, it's a relief to be able to withdraw into a handsome home in the wilds—especially one with an imposing wall around it, to keep out beasts and bandits.
Cliffshade, 255,000 gold: Just outside the Aldmeri settlement of Marbruk, the forest is wide and open, the climate is mild, the setting idyllic: the elegant home of Cliffshade seems an abode blessed by the gods.
Domus Phrasticus, 295,000 gold: No one has seen Phrastus the Scholar since his ill-advised return to the Imperial City. He's probably fine—he must be!—but in the meantime, his walled town house in Elinhir is available on an indefinite basis.
Grymharth's Woe, 280,000 gold: Fine urban living in Windhelm is now available at this commodious town home, which features a lofty main floor, two fireplaces, and a second-floor balcony. Alas, that balcony lacks a railing, which is how Grymharth, after too much mead, came to woe.
House of the Silent Magnifico, 320,000 gold: After the death of his beloved daughter Haruzeh at the Running of the Dunerippers, the Magnifico Z'za retired to his house in Sentinel and never spoke again, spending his last days playing endless games of hammergammon with his trained monkey, Lizard.
Mournoth Keep, 325,000 gold: This fortified household is strong, intimidating, and remote—in short, everything an Orc holds dear. And if you get tired of the "remote" part, there's a convenient wayshrine just outside your gate!
Ravenhurst, 260,000 gold: Two floors, no waiting, in this handsome walled town house makes for prime real estate in the quaint Rivenspire town of Fell's Run. The local story that the ravens that loiter around the front steps are the revenant spirits of former owners is absurd.
Sleek Creek House, 335,000 gold: All your friends are already nearby in Rawl'kha, yes? Invite them over to have a party at your so-sleek riverside house, with its private garden and over-creek deck. Much sweetness!
The Ample Domicile, 195,000 gold: “This house is a good house, plenty of room for guar! Palisade is strong to keep guar from straying, and many guar can feed in the garden! Very good, yes! Esqoo will come to visit often!" —Esqoo of Dhalmora
Velothi Reverie, 323,000 gold: This charming abode was named after both the Prophet Veloth who founded the surrounding town of Narsis, and the Velothi Mountains that rise above the walled garden at its rear.
    Large Homes
Dawnshadow, 1,275,000 gold: Ah, such a sweet estate, with every appurtenance—out in the country, yet convenient to the nearby Khajiiti metropolis of Dune! What can one do but love and admire it?
Forsaken Stronghold, 1,285,000 gold: When Hakkvild drove the Orcs of Yashnag's Kingdom out of Falkreath in 2E 467, the exiled Orsimer came east to establish Forsaken Stronghold. But the last Orcs died in 563 after they were visited by a merchant infected with Knahaten Flu.
Gardner House, 1,015,000 gold: The Gardners were the royal family of Wayrest before every single one of them was carried off by the Knahaten Flu. Which is why the spacious and well-situated Gardner House feels like it's fit for a king!
Hunding's Palatial Hall, 1,295,000 gold: This elegant pleasure palace, with its walled grounds enclosing stables, well, gardens, pool, watchtower, and docks, were paid for by the blood and treasure spilled from the countless treasure ships taken by the legendary Captain Izad.
Mathiisen Manor, 1,025,000 gold: This elegant walled estate is truly the apogee of Aldmeri architecture, including a grand entrance hall, curving double staircases, and a blossom-tree garden with circular reflecting pool.
Old Mistveil Manor, 1,020,000 gold: By tradition, the biggest mansion on the south side of Riften is always called Mistveil Manor. Since the death of old Thane Snelgar, the current Mistveil Estate has come available, including its impressive stone mansion with attached stable.
Quondam Indorilia, 1,265,000 gold: This capacious Dunmeri mansion, with its walled garden and view across a waterfall to majestic Mournhold, was originally built to house a noble family of House Indoril.
Stay-Moist Mansion, 760,000 gold: How does this spacious and comely hilltop manor, so far above the fen, nonetheless stay so delightfully damp? It is a paradox, like life itself. (Don't miss the upper-story lodging with separate entrance!)
Strident Springs Demesne, 1,280,000 gold: This fortified manor between Arenthia and Skingrad at the headwaters of the Strid River should satisfy all those who aspire to the life of the landed gentry. Inside the gatehouse you'll find gardens, a waterfall, and a mansion in Second Empire style.
The Gorinir Estate, 780,000 gold: The Gorinir family, a cadet branch of the royal Camoran line, has fallen on hard times and had to sell their palatial Cormount home. The seasons turn, luck changes, and their loss is your gain.
    Notable Homes
    Manors
Daggerfall Overlook, 3,780,000 gold: Before Daggerfall Castle was built, the kingdom's rulers lived in this imposing manor, now known as Daggerfall Overlook. The keep comes complete with a lower dungeon level.
Ebonheart Chateau, 3,785,000 gold: A magnificent castle keep, complete with walls, watchtowers, well, fountain, and stable, all dramatically sited on the slopes of an active volcano! It just needs a murder, and then it will be haunted as well.
Serenity Falls Estate, 3,775,000 gold: Set in a quiet corner of Reaper's March, the rural manor of Serenity Falls deserves its name, with plenty of room for servants and livestock, all behind a handsome wall to keep out the bandits and burglars.

Also some other neat stuff: Master crafting writs that reward tokens cashed in for various things. Motifs and recipes stack (making our guild bank less cramped once someone can be arsed to clean it up again).

    Various fixes too.
Debt of War: Razum-dar no longer yells loud enough to be heard by everyone in his vicinity.
NPCs will now hold the broom properly while sweeping.
Fixed an issue where the eyes of some Aldmeri female characters would painfully pop through their eyelids.
When using the /eatsoup emote, you will now actually eat out of a bowl like a civilized citizen.
The Unveiling: Razum-dar will no longer try to walk through doors by mashing his face into it. Silly Khajiit, that's not how doors work.

IIRC with all the thievery-related passives you can fence 140 items for 110% their value, so if you fence nothing but green items or better you could make minimum 15,400 per day per character. And I'm sure that's not even the most optimal way to make money, but I've had a pretty easy time doing it.

This is what I do on 1 character and I'm working on it for a second one but the grind to 17 legerdemain is crazy

Because it's too time consuming to trash white items and only pick up green+ I still fence the white items and I net about 12k per day without any of the thieves guild passives

I'm on pretty often - almost every day right now. Any officer can add people (I can't remember if regular members can invite).

If we need more officers, which we probably do given attrition, I'll bump a few regulars up later tonight.

Our guild bank is getting a bit full again so I thought it would be a good idea to remind people of what we have for use besides crafting materials.

We've still got a bunch of Intricate items for people leveling crafting. Don't be afraid to use these even if you're too low to get the materials out of it. Dungeons drop a ton of these and a bunch of us that bought the game during the Thanksgiving sale are now running dungeons regularly.

We've got a lot of provisioning recipes, especially a lot of holiday related ones. Okay, most of these holiday related ones are kind of crappy since drinks are kind of useless in PvE and no one seems to use green quality food besides health boosting food but at least one of the holiday recipes is a green health food that scales to the user's level and helps fill in gaps when you can't find a normal health booster of the right level.

We've got a lot of skinchanger crafting motifs. Uh, there really isn't a great use of these if you're not going for the holiday title which is kind of hard now with the event over. But we've got a lot of them so be sure to point anyone who starts up since the event ended but wants to do crafting to them. They might be needed for the Master Crafting writs coming with the next big update.

We've got a bunch of player made consumables. A lot of the potions may be of limited use but it's worth pointing out that some of the food and drink items are those used in Provisioner dailies and those dailies don't care if you use an item that's been sitting around and crafted by someone else.

We've got a bunch of CP 160 bind on equip gear from various sets. A few of us have tossed in gear that seems useful for tanks that just hit max gear level or other bits for other roles to a lesser degree. Nothing earth shattering, but still of use.

We've got a lot of player made glyphs. Since I'm leveling up enchanting on one of my characters, I'll likely be breaking down a lot of these for skill gains soonish if space keeps getting low but I've also got a max gear level character feeding the lowbie CP160 looted glyphs so someone without that would benefit even more from breaking down some of these. Or using them if you craft while leveling but forget you need to also enchant the stuff like I often did.

We've got a lot of New Life Festival consumables. The disposable ones are just little toys of no use outside the mudballs for anyone that didn't get the mudball miscreant achievement yet but we also have a few of the runeboxes members were too lazy to sell unable to find space for on their bank mules kind enough to leave for others. Want a winter hood to hide your ugly head armor? We have both both normal and filigreed versions. Want your characters to experience the brisk Skyrim air? We have some Nordic bathing towel costumes. Want to repeatedly pelt @CorriganX or and @Pixelated Pixie with an infinite supply of mudballs? You bet we have an ample supply of mudball pouches!

Help yourself and help the guild reclaim bank space so that we can fill it up again with Homestead's version of IKEA furniture in a month!

We have some Nordic bathing towel costumes.

I took one of these. Thanks to whoever dropped it in there. I missed the whole festival event thing so didn't get one the proper way.

It looks like they have another festival planned for around April Fools or Mardi Gras based on the theme so people are definitely encouraged to grab stuff from festivals they didn't have a chance to acquire to prevent the bank consumable's section from looking like one of those shops that just stocks things that didn't move from previous holidays.

Anyone can feel free to mill up all the glyphs I've popped in there, I used a bunch from someone else to level my enchanting so I've just been trying to pay it forward.

Mostly I never take anything because I never want to be "that person" so I generally won't take anything unless I can replace it with something equivalent. Motif for motif, for instance. But all those intricate weapons sure looked tempting.

I'm at the point where I give extra CP 160 Intricate gear to an alt who is level 13 and not doing any equipment crafting skills on the chance that I MIGHT one day want to put skill points in the related hirelings because I would otherwise fill up the guild bank with these in 2 or 3 nights of dungeon runs. So be tempted.

Can we have research buddies that make Gear with certain traits to trade and research?
