I miss hand-painted posters. There's still some nice art found in independent distributors though. I like a lot of Criterion and Scream Factory's boxart.

The plot was clearer. Trick two agents into giving up the SMERSH code machine to Spectre.
The main antagonist actually seems formidable in a realistic way. He also look surprisingly like Daniel Craig. He is basically a Spectre trained counter spy. James only defeats him through careful observation and a realization that none can be as loyal and principled as James Bond.
Spectre becomes more of a developed organization in the film. It does have one fight with an old lady trying to kick bond with a poisoned shoe. He deftly defeats her with his chair fu abilities. They really stepped it up on the one liners too. At one point Bond must solve a gypsy girl fight over a man, and resolves it with guns and his dick. Truly the Bondiest solution.
The movie ends with guys who clearly have guns trying to run Bond over with a helicopter until he shoots the driver. It's like they played Battlefield 4 and then went back in time to shoot the movie.
Bond has a super futuristic car phone too!

I have yet to see Rogue One because of the local cinemas changed the first show to 2pmish
I really feel the era of good silly slashers is long over because they have to be hip or whatever or be so hyper violent they get cut up just to be put out and maybe the NA rated one is put out on video

Huh. I had season tickets for the XFL in Chicago. Like, 4th or 5th row middle of the field. It was a glorious failure. I'll definitely have to watch the 30 for 30 on it.
Too tired to think of anticipated movies right now. I will say that I may never cease being shocked whenever it occurs to me that I'm looking forward to Thor: Ragnarok. I had zero plans to ever watch another Thor movie after The Dark World. But, Taika Waititi. How can I not want to see it after they chose him to direct??

Well if you've done it a bunch I assume you've developed your technique. I'm talking someone whose never grabbed a rope and is just doing it because they're in a life and death situation. That person is probably going 100% upper body strength.

Blade Runner 2049 has all of my cautious optimism with Harrison Ford actually being excited about it, Ryan Gosling as a potential actual robot man, and Denis Villeneuve being maybe the best sci-fi director right now

Looking over the schedule, there are four wide release movies of 2017 that I'm fairly sure I'll be seeing. Lego Batman (not really enthusiastic, but it's there and might be okay), Guardians 2, Spider-Man, and Star Wars 8.
The rest either I don't care about or I haven't heard enough about them to care about yet.
I was interested in Dark Tower until I heard it's a like a pesudo-sequel or some such. Now I'm stuck wondering if reading the books first would make for a better experience or what the situation is and it's killin' my buzz
