300 is probably too much money. 250 was the cap where i thought it could be sucessful.

Paid online, but it sounds like a lot better -- IM services et all.

No Region Lock. Thank fucking god. Dragon Quest 11 is a day one import.

Nah, 250 is honestly too cheap for the hardware to be decent.

300 is a pretty good sweet spot. I would be worried if it was 250.

Yeah, they're going all in on the single Nintendo device future.

Our online service is finally catching up to the bare minimum as everyone else!

Yes, but Nintendo's online services have traditionally sucked. They have to be at least feature parity with PSN/Live to even get a consideration.

want to see full feature sets and pricing before i get bent out of shape about it. wasn't expecting it, but if they're charging money then i'm hoping they've got something worth paying for planned.

Yeah, they're going all in on the single Nintendo device future.

Scratch that, phrasing suggest some hedging. "Console for the home... When you want to take t with you..."

Edit: But also referring to it as having a handheld mode. This is a little more subtle than the third pillar DS business.

Battery life: 2 1/2 hours to 6 hours?

Oooh USB type C, that's nice.

2 hours of battery for something like Zelda is expected but also kinda rough.

they're not going to fully commit to the 'one device' strategy till they see how the Switch does. this is the whole '3rd pillar' thing all over again.
