There's nothing I associate with femininity like gold. My aunts, who loved their gold, would take me to the gold market whenever the new style demanded that they bring their old pieces and remelt them into something more fashionable. To me that ca-chink-chink-chink you hear whenever you'd walk with them and all over the gold market is as womanly as their perfume. I think that's why my arm can often have a piece of leather attached, but never gold. I am the patriarchy.
This somehow doesn't apply to faux-gold-colored clothing, though.
