There was a fun book trilogy I read in grade school about dragons about a slave-bonded kid who stole a dragon egg to hatch and raise to fight in the dragon pit fights.

I killed him straight up. Motherfucker dropped an awesome twohanded sword for paladins.
Fuck yeah he did. But he was easy to kill if you had a couple thieves. Just fucking surround him with traps and then attack him. You'd only need to hit him two or three times after they all went off. Kind of anti-climactic. I'm glad the dragon battles in Throne of Baal were more balanced.
