Ah yes, Thorgal. The "I'm expecting softcore porn any page now" style of 70s/80s comics.
I remember being truly excited by softcore porn. I used to sneak out and watch cinemax after everyone went to sleep. I would copy the real jucy bits over the credits of other vhs tapes. My brilliant 12 year old reasoning was, "who watches the credits?"

I did have someone try to give me the "there's parts of Sweden so Muslim the cops don't even go there!" line

That alone is also kind of amazing but I've gotten used to seeing it.

It's so very easily disproven but people still believe it. Really shows that nobody cares about knowing things anymore.

And whatever real problems exist get buried in the big international facts match everyone's having.

Like there is a lot of actual geographical segregation in the cities, some select parts of town are made out of money and have good funding and others completely lack it. You're not likely to get shot walking the street in some areas but you're likely to get a worse education than a lot of whiter people downtown are.

What is an apartment queue? Is this the horror of socialized housing? Here in the good United States, the only thing stopping me from getting an apartment is the simple fact that the rent for one is like 60% of my income, as God and Capitalism intended thank you very much.

The buying an apartment market is fairly standard: you need your parents saving money for 20 years and give you that money as the downpayment, and you take a loan for a sum of approximately 15 years of your current annual income. So like all cities.

Rental apartments though you sign up for the queue and they post listings. And out of all who apply the one with the most time in the queue gets it. So it will depend on how many people are interested in any one apartment how likely it is that you'll end up getting it. I was in the queue 7 years before I got the 1 room apartment I have now, pretty far outside the city. Downtown apartments are going to people who joined the queue 30 years ago.
