Breath of the Wild is out. It's a pretty fun game. It's got guardians in it. You can fight them. Or you can run!

ORq2Mcc.jpg

There are also other Zelda games still out that we can talk about, like the first Legend of Zelda, and Wind Waker, and Link to the Past, and lots more. Hyrule Warriors is in there, that's a game, it's got Zelda stuff in it, we can talk about that.

The Zelda games run the gamut in terms of tone and mechanics and there's really a lot of high-quality entertainment in there if you wanna find it.

Let's talk about Zelda games.

going by the loot you said you got from your first fight, it sounds like you went up against a white striped lynel. Which yeah, making that your first lynel fight is going to be about as steep a learning curve as you could give yourself in this game

    Hello new Zelda thread

I think this is the best Zelda ever

I checked my activity log and I've played this about 42 hours since release, and I've only cleared one divine beast! Holy shit. I'm also getting sad that I have less and less towers to climb and discover? It just means less and less of the map is unknown to me, which has been my favourite part of this game so far.

I also finally found the fucking Korok guy again after the first time you meet him so you better believe I coughed up some seeds.

Holy fuck... I cannot get ANYWHERE.

I see nothing I can possibly do. I can't go any further than the second platform.

I can't stasis the switch so I can't see any way to hit it a a second time once I'm on the steps.

The moving platform has... no use whatsoever that I can see.

I can't see any way to access the alcoves on the far wall.

Use stasis on the laser on the floor. Pick it up and place it on the moving block on the ground.

    Solution
use a remote bomb, leave it next to the switch. after you do the normal stuff to get across and trigger the switch to get inside the locked area, detonate the bomb to raise the water again.

So far only one shrine has completely stumped me that I skipped it, its the one in the middle of the Korok Village. Can someone give me a better hint than the shrine provides?
It says to look to the stars which I assume means the red constellations in the room on the walls and on the far wall above the mummy cage, but I'm not sure how they relate back to the two 5x2 sets of core holders.

    Fire pro tip.
Carry a torch and a fire sword. When you need fire, drop the torch and swing at it with the fire sword. The torch will ignite on the ground. You can then unequip the fire sword and pick up the lit torch. Or use the torch on the ground to light arrows.

Oh geez that's brilliant. I had assumed it was some sort of strange math problem and had trouble making out the far constellations on the back wall on the handheld screen. I'll take another pass at this tonight on the tv. Thanks!
