Interestingly, as someone who hasn't registered their purchase yet (physical pre-order), I can recruit teams and earn rewards.
Yeah, I just got Apex downloaded, connected to my PS4 account which doesn't unlock until Midnight, and recruited a team and have them running missions. I actually think its really awesome, as all of a sudden I have this immersion where shit is going on even before my Ryder has awoken from Cryo.
Yup it looks like it could be a useful app just have to wait till I actually get into the game to get a bit more use out of it. Plus side I can see some of my preorder and loyalty bonus stuff is sitting waiting for me to get in game hehe.

Wait I just realized something while setting up the app... the andromeda initiative website doesn't allow me to pick which account it's logged into(PC, XBOX, PS). Is that going to matter? It shows my PC name in the top right but I'm going to play the game on PS4. Will I still get the reward for PS4? I tried logging out but it just drops me right back into my PC account name. Maybe it's just linked through the email and that's all that matters?

You can definitely set strike team equipment in the game.
It isn't cheap though.
I don't know what else mission points are used for, aside from recruiting new strike teams, so maybe its worth it?
I would like to know if recruitment is the only way to get new strike teams, or if you get some in the course of the SP game or something. Or if retiring them is actually useful, if it gives you some reward, or access to better teams or something.

Why is how the default female Ryder looks such a sore spot for so many people? She looks fine and maybe they thought a 1 to 1 rep of the face model didn't look young enough.

Both my teams failed their first 70% success rate mission. We're off to a good start boys.
Yeah, I have a Krogan team that is now afraid of Kett in addition to being a beserker. Both are -10 traits. On the plus side they have 3 traits that add up to +20.
Hmm. After going back to ME3MP I'm actually not sure which one I prefer. Mass Effect 3 has better melee, but fairly quickly I missed the vastly superior mobility of Andromeda. Also, even on an old GTX 770 it looks a lot better, the textures are way crispier. I would also say ME3 has much better sounding combo explosions but I'm gonna wait for some after-release footage to actually hear what they sound like in Andromeda.

Mine had a list of my accounts on the various platforms when I did the initial setup and it recommended picking the one you use for multiplayer so I picked my PS4 account it looks like you can reselect by going to the lil person icon in the upper left of the app interface.
Has anyone read about standout companions yet? A number of reviews mention that the character writing isn't the best in Andromeda, but none of the ones I've read and watched stated which characters are actually good.
