The only tolerable choice is the acting director. Everyone else should be considered a criminal simply by accepting the offer of the position.
Some of the other career professionals on that list would probably be fine, it's Lieberman (or Gowdy or Cornyn, but they wisely dropped out) that is worrsiome.

Former FBI official Richard McFeely has reportedly withdrawn his name from consideration to replace James Comey as FBI director, according to a report by a Washington ABC affiliate.
Sources told WJLA that McFeely withdrew his name from President Trump's FBI director shortlist. Three potential candidate left include Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), former Republican Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating and acting FBI chief Andrew McCabe.
Alas, it would have been fun to have the head of the FBI named Dick McFeely.

That tolerable choice would be on an active deadline, as soon as they brushed Trump off the wrong way or refused to bend the knee to the king - that'd be another Comey.

Barron's good with computers, right?
Totally misread this post but all I can think right now is that an acting director is exactly what Trump needs.
