Since nobody saw fit to remember it, May 25th was the 139th anniversary of the first performance of H.M.S. Pinafore.

So happy belated birthday!

    @Shivahn

    You asked me a couple of days ago what I was looking for in IRC and Dice Roller's. Sorry for the delay. Work wiped me out Thursday.

    I used to RPG with IRC. But it has now been a damn long time since I did that. But I want to get back in.

    My basic idea is to run a practice campaign (using Trinity, Aberrant, or maybe even Star Wars West End RPG, or maybe Prometheus). Then round up a group of players and get a real long campaign for Seventh Sea 2nd edition going.

    But like I said it has been a real long time.

    So I wanted to ask. What's a good IRC program and where can I get a good dice roller?

    My sister in law's reaction to this OP: "Talk to me when it's the 140th anniversary"

    It's like she doesn't care that 139 is the smallest prime before a prime gap of 10, and a happy number to boot

    I know I'm v late to the comics discussion but: without getting too defensive about the term edgelord piece of shit :p I often enjoy stories like that. Tho I admit that I am not a comics reader, so it's definitely possible that I miss what people are looking for in movies like that, in pony's words

    Also admittedly it's much easier to write a lazy hero story that goes dark, I think. Working around killing can lead to more interesting problems- who to catch if two people fall, how to 'disable' someone etc.

    I am very much into comics and I dig those stories too. Ennis' run on the Punisher is some of my favorite comics. But heroes that fall in that vein aren't really heroes more often than not. They're just people with unique skills and abilities doing what has to be done.

    Hey Arnold! takes place in the fictional American city of Hillwood. While its geographic location is never revealed outright, some episodes suggest that the city is located in Washington State. Bartlett described the city as "an amalgam of large northern cities I have loved, including Seattle (my hometown), Portland (where I went to art school) and Brooklyn (the bridge, the brownstones, the subway)".[6] Bartlett, having grown up in Seattle, based many of the show's events on his own experience growing up in the city. Evan Levine of the Houston Chronicle commented on the series' "backdrop of dark streets, nighttime adventures and rundown buildings, all seen from a child's point of view".[7]
    This is blowing my mind.
