    The way Brian didn't even look annoyed... I wonder if he did spoil a surprise by accident before. Or at least he knows that Malchi believes he did that one time and he's really covering for Seventeen for that time with the thing and the place.

    ...The last one is from experience. Dad and I covered for each other more than a few times when we knew Mom was mad at the other.

    I don't think Malachi will think of this, but if I were him I'd give Seventeen an imaginary rock and ask her to throw it away for me. (She looks so sad in that final panel... I'd just have to.)
