Screen Sharing Programs

in Moe's Stupid Technology Tavern
Hey all. I need to do a class in which someone will need to be able look at the screen of another computer, which will not be local. The programs running are going to be video/streaming programs, so I need something that will also allow the teacher to view the student screens smoothly (like if the program has major "lag" or delay it's going to be an issue, if that makes sense).

Does anyone have any suggestions?

    I'd like something with as low a delay as possible. Mayhaps skype would work. How reliable is it?
