Hah. I guess they changed the map interface again.

I like the new unlock quests between planets - rewards progression in a way that wasn't there when I was most active ~2014

Yeah like really, really good. I may or may not be planning 17776 cosplay now. And a convention panel. And a fan fiction. (Help me)

it was good but i didn't buy the premise

they can make intelligent robots, which are functionally identical to children. so why wouldn't they

You didn't buy the premise of... Space probes developing sentience on their own over thousands of years?

Yeah they didn't make them, they where a really cool accident

That is a nice thought that it might be possible though, good for a hypothetical sequel series

i accepted that as part of the set-up but the way people responded to it didn't feel natural

One time I was in a movie theater and I smelled syrup and there was a man eating pancakes with syrup in the movie theater

My girlfriend at the time in HS and I snuck a fried chicken dinner platter into The Longest Yard remake

like 6 pieces of mixed chicken, mac and cheese, green beans, black eyed peas, etc. etc.

She just shoved it into the biggest beach purse she had

If the smell wasn't so strong I'd be sneaking hummus, falafel, shawarma, and hot sauce into the theater.

When I was in high school (and right after) we used to sneak food and beer in.

My friends would often times ask me to stash bacon cheddar hot dogs from Sheetz in my carpenter jorts when we would go to the discount cinema.

My fee was a dog from each of them.

Luckily I live in the South so cargo shorts have always been popular. And convenient for sneaking food into the movie theater as concession prices got out of control. When I was really young and we had an AMC I don't remember the concession prices being as ridiculous as Cobb. We used to stop at a gas station and get an older friend of ours to buy beers or Four Lokos.

The Last Podcast on the Left series on OKC and McVeigh has been pretty good so far. They touch on some things I've already researched and talked to a PhD candidate here who is working on the same topic (Christian Identity Movement).

I think Nier: Automata can answer that one for you.

Warframe is absolutely fantastic and I hope no one who might otherwise have been interested was put off by Rorie's incompetent portrayal of it. I'm not really one to get mad at missing game messaging, but when you say you have no idea what you're doing in an "Assassination" mission maybe stop and take a second to read things.

So I dunno if they put their reactions in here yet, but I need to know.

    @stilts @Oghulk

How did you like shutdown fullcast episode that required more knowledge of vidya games and shit than it did knowledge of actual CFB to follow along?

I pretty much lost it when they started referencing the first Pokemon Movie.

A bit late to the party but just caught up with and finished 17776 it was real good. Especially:
Its explorations of how people attempt to create meaning in their lives given immortality. I think some of it's conclusions about an immortal humanity as a whole seemed off the mark, but the individual characters we spent time with were all great and really carried the story. I also love how they just were like "Eh, heat death of the universe? Not a thing, don't sweat it!"

A little said it's over but I've never checked out any other of Jon Bois's creative output, what else is good to check out from him?

If you enjoyed 17776, definitely check out Tim Tebow's CFL Chronicles. It's practically a prequel to this.

I wish I could reset my planet progress.

I unlocked everything but I think Pluto back when it still had that weird starmap look and kinda missed out on any sense of progression when they changed it over.
