Star in November, Steven Universe in who-the-hell-knows. Urgh.
well. Star v Forces of Evil aired its entire season two in February. They aired the first 4 episodes of season 3 in July. and I'm guessing they are gonna dump the rest of season 3 in November.
That's a pretty decent turn around considering other shows on Disney.
Remember. they drip fed 20 episodes of Gravity Falls season 2 from August 2014 to February 2016.
I'd like something in between what networks have been doing lately.
you don't do one episode a week, because then people drift off of it.
maybe air a week of episodes at the top of the month instead of forcing us to chug the entire season in one go, then nothing for months and months.
I dunno. I know results show that views are way way up if they get people to binge an entire season, but is that truly a viable business strategy? what do you do for the time inbetween?
Rocko’s Modern Life is getting a one-hour TV movie next year, and Nickelodeon is at San Diego Comic-Con to give fans their first sneak peek at the new series. In the special’s first trailer for Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling, Rocko, Heffer, and Filburt find themselves in 2017. Things in O-Town have changed a lot since the ‘90s, and the trio find themselves having to deal with how weird, fascinating, and downright terrifying things have gotten over the course of 20 years.
“THE 21ST CENTURY IS A VERY DANGEROUS CENTURY.”
Rocko’s Modern Life is beloved for its cheeky (if obvious) satire and the boatloads of innuendo and adult humor creator Joe Murray heaped onto the show. All that is here in this first look, but there’s also a creeping sense of alienation from and even revulsion toward the technological trends of the moment. Sure, the surveillance state really is scary and the 3D movies are stupid, but... are smartphones really all that bad?
Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling will air on Nickelodeon in 2018.

Really have to wonder what kind of black magic was utilized to make this show, because I haven't seen a clip of it yet that was anything but solid gold. Really damn good solid gold.
Still adjusting to the voices, but I don't think that will take long because every VA seems to be quite solidly on-point with the quality.
I dunno why I don't frequent this thread more often. I watch cartoons all the time.
What prompted me here is that my soon to be 7yo daughter loves the old The Real Ghostbusters cartoon, of which the entire series is on Netflix. We watch a few episodes everyday. She's tenderhearted so she gets a little spooked by them sometimes, pleasantly so. I now consider this series a timeless classic.
EDIT: The guys just used a drone (wired) and this show is from the late 80s
If you haven't heard of her, you've heard her influence -- she was voice director on an absolute shitton of animated shows, starting with Duck Tales. Two of her biggest ones are Airbender/Korra and damn near everything DC's done since BTAS. Her most recent stuff is Voltron and the latest TMNT. She'll be missed.
Might skew a bit old for this thread but today's Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast features Larry Kenney, voice of Liono, Count Chocula, and a ridiculous amount of other animated characters. They don't really spend much time on Thundercats unfortunately but there's some pretty good insights into early American animation, especially regarding its' use in commercials.

Because the 30 year olds who are the primary audience for the show will appreciate it?

J.G. Quintel's new series!
That was a really damn heartwarming way to reintroduce the series.
Too soon!
Although that does seem pretty funny.
Aye, iPhone being a remarkable thing, Starbucks, Energy Drinks. Feels like i went back in time 7 years.
Only now with added innuendos. Those hoses sure were in unfortunate positions, weren't they.

Edit: A short bio on Foray. To say she was prolific is an understatement - you probably have heard several characters she voiced.

Saw it on the air? CN actually aired something fan-servicey for once this decade?
Dont worry they fired the guy who made it.
