So we can do the mission if we think we can pass it. Cylon is definitely going to try and sabotage it. Either it's Strongbad or perhaps Preda was playing the long game to avoid all suspicion until this moment. Normally I think it's never worth it for a Cylon to perfectly mimic a helpful human, but when you're a pilot and there's one other pilot, it might pay off using one piloting sabotage to get everyone to accuse the only other piloting player.
I propose this: we do the mission, then request that either Preda or Strongbad not contribute anything to it. The Cylon can't really pass up trying to sabotage this. If there's sabotage, we know for sure which of the pilots is the cylon. If the person we request not to contribute decides to break and contribute anyway and there's sabotage, we know that he's the cylon. If there's no sabotage, then either the contributing pilot is human or he's a cylon who's going to sit all game and I'm fine with that.
Worst case: the mission is sabotaged and fails, but we finally know for sure who the cylon is.
Optimistic case: we cut in half the chance that it will be sabotaged and get a strong indicator who the cylon is.

We have about as many cards as we'll ever have, which makes the mission seem worth doing now. Given the board situation, it seems that the only other sensible plays for me would be to do 4 unmanned viper activations to escort civilian ships off and/or shoot at the heavy raider or try to execute a suspected Cylon.

Ah well, let's do this.
Discard Engineering 1 - Repair to move to Demetrius Bridge. Activate Demetrius Bridge.

If you like, I will not contribute any cards to the mission.
Yeah that was a host error. Only the tac cards were negative
Error on my part, yes. You've safetly blown that check completely out of the water even moreso. Or out of space, whichever you prefer.
Turn 17: Louis Hoshi (@Hedgethorn ) Receive Skills Step: 2 Leadership, 2 Tactics, 1 Engineering Movement Step: Discard Engineering 1 - Repair to move to Demetrius Bridge. Action Step: Demetrius Bridge. Crisis Step: None. Activate Cylon Ships Step: None. Prepare for Jump Step: None.
My understanding of the mission cards is when the Bridge is activated, they essentially replace the Crisis for the turn.
Mission card is Digging Up the Past 14 Politics, Leadership
Pass: This card counts as 1 distance. The next time the fleet jumps, place this card next to the earth objective card.
Fail: Shuffle 2 treachery cards into the destiny deck and turn this card facedown on the active mission space.
Jump Preparation: Red 2, no jump. Pursuit Track: Level 1.
Distance Covered: 2
Galactica: No damage, no boarding parties. Pegasus: No damage.
Nuke Tokens: 2 remain. Quorum Cards: 4 in hand.
Ship Reserves: 4 Viper Mk II, 3 Raptors. 1 Viper Mk II, 4 Viper Mk VIIs damaged.
Characters: Admiral Felix Gaeta (MrBody) in Captain's Cabin President Lee Adama (Doctorstrongbad) in Quorum Chamber
Gaius Balta (Daemonis) in Engine Room
Louanna “Kat” Katraine (Preda) in Sickbay.
Louis Hoshi (Hedgethorn) in Demetrius Bridge. CAG Kara “Starbuck” Thrace (Phyphor) Assault Raptor, Port-Quarter.
I will be blown away if Preda was playing the long game for this very moment and tried to tip the decision of this check to himself saying he can contribute a lot.

I'm a bit concerned now that Preda promised to help "significantly" and then only put in two cards for a medium amount. I also realize now that he only draws one leadership card and no politics, so he doesn't have much from which to contribute... Hrm...
I'm going to glance back and see if I can divine the contents of the Destiny Deck before moving on. Will contribute a bit later.

That does seem fishy. We will have to see what happens.
I mean it's totally possible he picked up 2 leadership cards over 2 turns and they add up to a "medium" amount. Has he publicly played any Leadership cards?
It just struck me as something I would say if I wanted to keep up appearances that I was going along with the most beneficial plan and make it look like I was leaving it up to the group, but also throwing in a sly suggestion to make sure I could get in to sabotage.

Okay, if I've counted right, the following has been played from the Destiny Deck since the last shuffle: 2 Politics, 1 Leadership, 1 Piloting, 1 Treachery, and 3 unknown cards. There are four cards left, one of which has to be a treachery and one of which has to be an engineering.
So with only four cards left in the destiny deck, at most one of them could be good for us. We should expect at least one, and probably two, negative cards in this check. (If we're lucky, we'll draw the other treachery now -- its skill check effect wouldn't go off.)
Unfortunately, I'm short on the cards that would help for this mission.
If I'm reading the rule book right, investigative committee and other skill card effects aren't/can't be used for missions.

@Korsakovia : I'm happy to get the engineering cards, but does Install Upgrades take effect on a mission? I thought all card effects were ignored for missions.
