    At some point in the future when we're out in space
    I'd like to see the legacy of the human race
    be one of profound kindness. Yes, hopefully that
    and an economy entirely based on different kinds of hats.

    Imagine if you will our haberdasher'd kin
    sailing through the stars. I mean, a total win!
    Especially in their pork pies or stylish Kangols.
    Perhaps some big ten gallons for those country souls.

    They'd trade them in like credits for some space ship fuel.
    In hats we'd make first contact. Wouldn't that be cool?
    The stars are our tomorrow but don't forget hats, too.
    It's a better, brighter future. To thine hats. be true!

    Anyone who has played recent MMOs knows the ultimate end game is all about style points. In WoW, the true endgame is Transmog. In FFXIV the endgame is glamours. And in SWTOR the endgame is Outfit Designer.

    Now, how long did it take you to tell? I started getting strong suspicions as soon as he used a simile.

    I read the newspost and it was good?

    Like usual, Tycho masterfully puts down words on a page (digitally) and I enjoyed reading it. I didn't sense anything out of the ordinary.

    The post was originally flagged as written by Gabe. That's surprising in itself, but I wasn't sure till I got to the use of "melange" that it was a mistake...

    When I was reading it, looking for something odd, "was it written by Gabe" was the one I started with. Until I read 3 words in. I saw a simile and knew it wasn't Mike. Then "imprinted" and "melange" came in hot, and I was really wondering what I was supposed to be looking for.

    I mean one giveaway that it wasn't written by Gabe is that it's talking about Gabe in the third person. And that's clear from the fourth word in. The "written by" was fixed by the time I read it but I feel like that would have clued me in that there was a mistake somewhere.
