[Green Light]The hottest comics collectable right now? The movie treatment of "The Spirit," being used to sell the upcoming movie directed by Frank Miller to industry people. The treatment is peppered with Eisner art, but it has a cover with the Spirit drawn by Frank Miller. Which has caused copies to be ripped from the sweaty hands of AFM attendees.
And here it is.

Sounds good, but what the fuck's up with the Spirit's right arm?
It doesn't matter. He made 300, so he has a lifetime pardon to do whatever the fuck he wants. Plus I really liked Big Guy.
What. 300 wasn't even that good. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing. It just was.
If you want really good historical fiction comics, you need to read Age of Bronze.
I've got the first couple of Age of Bronze trades and all the individuals issues. Good read, but Spartans > Trojans.
300 is tons better. I love all Greek and Roman military comics, but 300 is my all time favorite. Now that Gemmell is dead, I have no idea if his Troy novels are still getting a graphic novel treatment, so I expect 300 to hang onto the title.

Frank Miller drew it.
I... guess we'll find out.
