    It's a lot like Chaos in the Old World, only instead of corruption it's a simpler territory holding mechanic with gates. And instead of a single-action upgrade system, it's 6 separate conditions.

    I prefer it to CitOW. No random sink or swim card draws, and you get to play with <i>all</i> the upgrades instead of the 1-3 max you ever saw in Chaos.

    Three power is not a bad price for three doom points, @NotoriusBEN, but I'll probably hold off on getting that particular spellbook for at least the first round. Three power is quite a big bonus this early.

    Wait, is there a limit on the number of times the Sleeper faction can use Lethargy in a round? That seems ungodly powerful if they can.

    Sleeper can keep passing until everyone is out of power. It’s an action each time, costs zero. They don’t give up their actions.

    That being said, as a fan of Sleeper, it’s not as powerful as I wish it would be.

    Edit: For those that haven’t read “all the things”, it’s a Tsathoggua thing. Sleeper has to have their GOO in play.

    So once Sleeper has their ancient one in play, they can just pass indefinitely until everyone else is out of power and they have free reign? o_O

    The Yssaril were considered massively imbalanced in Twilight Imperium for being able to stall every other turn.

    Sleeper would -love- to do that. But:
    1. They have to respond to threats from other players
    2. They usually only have a modest amount of power
    3. Three of their spell books require them to give up 3 power
    You'll see.

    Normally, each unit can only move one space per turn, but Crawling Chaos can Fly.

    There's also no move 2 space for 2 power. You can move any number of units for 1 power each, but they can only move once per action. So, normally only 1 space.

    Lethargy is definitely stronk, but Sleeper has some significant weaknesses to make up for it. As others have noted, Sleeper has to pay a significant amount of power to get spellbooks, and perhaps more significantly, has no special abilities that GAIN power. Also, Sleeper 's monsters kind of suck.

    @saurfang yes, power is worth more in this opening round, which is why i am willing to give you doom points for that power and not someone else.

    I had the same reaction! I usually see a cultist moved.

    Edit: the cultist gives you the option to build a gate, I suppose, though it seems like most people use desecration in any case, so it wouldn't make much difference!

    Maybe we also want to declare the specific action taken to clear up confusion around things like Flight. I'm sure there will be other occurrences of actions that will make people think "Hey, you can't do that." If it's something special you can do, try and indicate it in some way until everyone is more familiar with the different factions.
