Match A:

250px-Manwholaughs.jpg
Joker

Powers: insanity, genius intellect, skilled with firearms and basic hand to hand combat

Equipment: 1 acid spitting flower, 5 Joker Gas Grenades, one pistol, and one million volt joy buzzer

Vs.

225px-Daredevil46.jpg
Typhoid Mary

Powers: Pyrokinesis, Telekinesis, insanity

Equipment: 10 throwing knives

Environment: deserted urban landscape

Match B:

250px-SupermanCv219.jpg
Braniac

Powers: Vast intelligence and strength, energy manipulation

Vs.

250px-RiddlerGA.JPG
The Riddler

Powers: Genius intellect, superior problem solving abilities

Equipment: 10 EMP Pulse Grenades

Environment: a maze, four miles across. The competitors will start at either side of the maze. Breaking through or flying over the walls will result in a disqualification. The first person to either defeat the other in combat or reach the center of the maze is the winner.

Match C:

250px-Ironman275.png
The Mandarin

Powers:

terrible asian stereotype, skilled martial artist, 10 alien rings

* Left Pinkie — "Ice Blast," with which he could encase foes in bands of ice or create walls of ice to block pursuers.
* Left Ring Finger — "Mental-Intensifier," which amplifies the Mandarin's own mental energies and allows him to control the minds of others.
* Left Middle Finger — "Electro Blast," unleashing powerful lightning-like bolts.
* Left Index Finger — "Flame Blast," a flamethrower-like gout of flame.
* Left Thumb — "White Light," a laser-like beam.
* Right Thumb — "Matter Rearranger," which can rearrange the atoms and molecules of a substance. The Mandarin usually uses this ring to change the shape of objects, such as causing a giant stone hand to erupt out of the earth and grapple a foe. He has, however, used it to transmute the molecular composition of objects, such as changing the air around a target into a poisonous gas.
* Right Index Finger — "Impact Beam," a blast of concussive or gravitational force.
* Right Middle Finger — "Vortex Beam," allows Mandarin to control air and wind, allowing him to fly.
* Right Ring Finger — "Disintegration Beam." Unlike the others, this Ring requires a twenty minute recharge time between firings.
* Right Pinkie — "Black Light," which can create areas of absolute blackness.

Vs.

Doomsday.jpg
Doomsday

Equipment: Sword, 10 Shruiken

environment: inside a dormant volcano. there are lava pits throughout the environment. neither competitor is allowed to leave the volcano.

Is Doomsday vulnerable to psychic attack? I know Dr. Psycho controlled him. But no one could when he was up against Supes.

Brainiac Vs. The Riddler? Are you fucking kidding me? I love the Riddler and all, but that picture of Brainiac sorta illustrates what level the Riddler is not on.

    With that said, Joker/Brainiac/Doomsday/Samurai

I just can't see Gargan pulling through, he's too inexperienced with the suit (last time I saw him, mind you)

If Doomsday is vulnerable to psychic attack, Mandarin might just get LUCKY enough to get some sort of an edge.

Also, Riddler is ten tons of fucked.

Assuming the person has no hangups against killing, yes. A knockout is good enough to win, however.

Actually, reading the stipulations, I could see either the Riddler or Braniac squeezing out a victory if they don't meet up and start duking it out.

And I also feel that the Samurai could win, because not only is Gargan inexperienced in the suit, but they're in a volcano, which could easily lead to fire, which fucks the symbiote up a bit.

    My votes: Joker/Samurai/Doomsday/Braniac

The thing is, it's a maze. They'll probably just run around and follow the left side of the wall untill they hit the center. And Brainiac can probably run faster.

Now if it was some sort of Literature or Mythological puzzle involved, Ed might have a chance. Something more human.

    But hey, I dunno.

I just noticed something really stupid about Silver Samurai's wiki entry.

    One part says this:
Silver Samurai, the illegitimate son of Shingen Harada, is a Japanese mutant with the power to charge his katana with mutant energy (described as a tachyon field) that enables it to slice through any known substance including adamantium.

While the little summary column part says:
create a tachyon field capable of cutting anything except adamantium

Since Venom isn't made of adamantium, I don't suppose it really matters for our purposes. [/url]

I can't think of anything Mandarin could do to beat Doomsday since he can compensate for any successful attack made against him that doesn't outright kill him.

Man, Doomsday's such a lame character.

How do you stop Braniac with an EMP Grenade? Does it take only one?

In any case, I see Braniac using logic to deduce the proper course through the maze while Riddler uses his intuition. Since mazes are a human creation and Riddler is probably an expert on them, doesn't that give Riddler the advantage?

Silver Samurai can cut create a fissure in the ground by cutting through it with a missed shuriken, thereby sending a gush of lava onto Venom.

I don't know about Joker and Typhoid Mary. I guess it depends on who underestimates whom.

Is that ring that strong? If it was, you'd think Mandarin woulc've killed Iron Man by now.

And Gargan's lost the Scorpion suit.

Look, I don't like Doomsday, but the guy is just too fucking fast I think. I think probably he jumps out from behind a tree and rips Mandarin's head off.

If it were and open area, I'd probably go for Mandarin.

Doomsday took an extended energy barrage from the entire Justice Leauge and it didnt even slow him down. It was a shitty version of the Justice Leauge, but it was still a lot power getting rained down on him.

Couple that with the fact that Mandarin's "disintegration" ray was blocked by Iron Man's older, weaker shields, I dont think it will work on him.

Doomsday can take a shit fuck ton of punishment. I should check through my old Superman comics to see if anyone tried stopping him with a mental attack. I vaguely recall someone trying, but getting shut out for some reason or another.

Well, disinegration is sort of a binary thing isn't it? Either you're fucked, or it does nothing.

Its probably a matter of reaction time, and it sounds like Doomsday is probably too fast.

Doomsday's fast, but he doesn't dodge attacks. He takes them because he's designed to take them, because that's how he gets stronger.

So if a disintegration beam is really strong enough to defeat him in one shot, then Mandarin. I guess it helps that Mandarin's magical ring-a-ma-bobbers are probably unlike anything Doomsday's ever felt, meaning he's got no defenses against them.

if those EMPs really DO take down Brainiac, than I think I might give it to the Riddler. They are probably about even in maze skills, though Riddler might have a *slight8 edge, seeing as he has designed his own. If the maze has any kind of questions/riddles like his did, he wins.

I could see Riddler and Brainiac running into each other, Riddler using an EMP; then running ahead of Brainiac and fucking up the maze somehow/creating a false trail to confuse Brainiac. Or leave little clues behind him to lead him on a wild goose chase, while he makes his way to the center of the maze. He has 10 EMPs, thats 10 encounters he cna get away from and set things up.
