I wonder, is the "for your opponent" relevant to where the chest/minion is or who is killing it?
Yeah, if it's on your side of the board then your opponent will get the treasure no matter who kills it. Deathrattles always trigger from the perspective of the current owner of the minion.
So treachery could work if you want to steal someone else's treasure.
1. play this on t10 (or earlier given coin/radiant elemental shenannigans)
2. Sw:pain the chest
3. profit
Profit by giving your opponent the contents of the chest to use on T11?
No... he'd be killing the chest that his Marin summoned.
Bwanie would get the reward.
Ahhhh ok. I was thinking that it was more like the deathrattle effect where the result goes to the person who it was "supposed" to go to. Not like that annoying gift brawl where whomever killed the gift.
These aren't the droids we're looking for... Move along. Move along.

I'm so glad it's coded this way.
How horrible would it feel if you played Marin and your opponent killed it and got the treasure instead?
I've noticed that I'm kind of bored of watching Hearthstone. Deck variety seems lacking, and I'm not super fond of watching the ones that exist except, like, Big Druid
He's an off curve 6/6 that eventually spawns a potentially godlike card. Maybe combo priest? Play Marin, give your opponent a 0/8, next turn potion it, double it twice, inner fire for 6 mana 32 damage?
Ah hah, I know this one... The answer is "Any 6 year old's deck because it's legendary which makes it instantly awesome".
Do you, in fact, have any builds in this shop at all?
Tournament Hearthstone has always been kind of eh imo. People don't usually make mistakes at that level, so it becomes who has the better draw. There's not really a way to differentiate between a top 100 or top 1000 player.

I like Tournament Hearthstone more, tbh. I feel like if you look at a bracket of the top 32-64 players in a tournament, then look at who made it to top 8, it really denies the claim that it's all luck-of-the-draw based. Yeah, at the highest tiers luck plays a big part, but the consistency of people who do well counters that a decent amount. Like, you do not see the top 1000 players of Hearthstone all with the same amount of tournament success.
That new weapon that gives your hero immunity for a turn is fucking broken in that deck. A dude ganged up his oracles and fatigued me while he was at 12 health with a full hand himself.

Well, Dreamhack Montreal (the last one I watched) had a ton of missplays! There was this one match where both players were just slugging it out with really, really bad plays Stress of the big stage really gets to some people.

I mean well played but shiiiit that felt bad
Violet Illusionist already made this possible, if it makes you feel better. Shadowblade just happens to also be good earlier in the game.

I think that it was Dreamhack Denver that may have had an even worse game, Raza Priest vs. EZ Priest. Cora and Admirable were casting it if I recall, and they both sounded like they were ready to quit casting Hearthstone. It was so, so bad.
Civics is not a consumer product that you can ignore because you don’t like the options presented.

Were those in the finals bracket or the swiss? Because in early swiss rounds you can also get relatively inexperienced players on camera.

I don't know if they've deployed the update to mobile yet. So if you've logged in after update on PC/Mac then you're not going to be able to login on mobile until it's also updated.

Really tempted to craft them
But I have questions about what's in the new set since I did quit playing after the tourney set because I felt ripped off over what cards I got

The chest is confirmed to be a Deathrattle minion. Do not Potion of Madness this unless you plan on x2 Divine Spirit/Inner Firing it.
Extra useful if your opponent has an Umbra in play!

I sort of want to do a Rogue bounce deck that fills up the other board with chests.
Something like:
Shadowstep × 2
Gadgetzan Ferryman × 2
Sap × 2
Youthful Brewmaster × 2
Coldlight Oracle × 2
Mimic Pod × 2
Ancient Brewmaster × 2
Xaril, Poisoned Mind × 1
Shadowcaster × 2
Vanish × 2
Plus whatever else. Maybe ever the Rogue quest.

Edit nope also 3 mana. Huh never ran into illusionist before.
Updated the deck imager to include him now.
Here's the list I'm currently tooling around with for fun:

Haven't yet summoned Marin. I get lethal the usual way before I get the chance
Opponent opens with a turn 1 Sinister Strike and I know I'm either beating up a brand new player, or a kid
Or a brand new kid player

It's unfavored against Jade Druid, Tempo Rogue, and Zoo, and even against Highlander Priest. I wouldn't run it against the 4 most popular decks.
But the third time was into Lich King off Stonehill.
Which gave them Army of the Dead.
Which gave them Tirion, Sunkeeper, Tar Creeper, and the 4/4 buff your hand. (And Corpsetaker but that was just a 3/3.)
There are a lot of great 5 drops. That, white eyes, doomguard, lyra
But, also dopplegangster and that 2/2 deathrattle take 5 damage
