Man, it really wouldn't be as much fun calling this out if it weren't for the guaranteed freak-out. Honestly, I was just looking for an explanation. The hero battle had a pretty even split, if I remember correctly.
I'm waiting for Doom to answer this one for you.

    Goddamnit

It ended up like that because maybe more people voted for Marvel villians

I like both companies equally but Marvel has some MUCH more well known villians.

Overall, there were more marvel villains nominated than DC villains.

Also, most of the dc villains were overpowered compared to the marvel ones. So Doom went with a mix of powerful, interesting, and silly. It's fun that way. But it still turned out to be slightly more Marvel characters.

Goddamnit if I can restraining for bitching about the lack of 3rd company characters (mostly) you can shut the fuck up about the lack of DC villains.

Dammit. i thought Ventress would have been good in this contest.

    Goddamnit Terrorbyte.

The people who you get in fights with on this board are all old-school DC fans who don't like the current creative direction.

This board has a zero percent Marvel bias.

How you can continue to spew trash about there being one is frankly amazing.

Doom enjoys Star Wars, but found that a character from that universe would somewhat spoil the spirit of this tournament. Doom wishes he could have included more third party characters, but they were either too weird (how the hell does Randall Dowling's power work anyway?) or too lame (Judge Rico? Shredder? Seriously?)

What about Marvel Boy, Proteus, and The Mask?

I can make some guesses as to why they weren't picked, but I'd still like to know for sure.

    1. Really strong and has access to too much crazy shit
    2. Proteus IS weak to metal, but other than that he can do pretty much anything
    3. The Mask can't fight Loki, Loki made the mask. Also, he's just got hard to define powers.

If it's not too late you could switch in Bomb Queen for Mystique in the interest of more non-Big Two. She has the power of gratutious nudity!

    Ok, I'm kidding.

The awesome thing about this tournament is the lack of ambiguity. The small size means we can have a lot of 1v1 matches; none of this confusing team-up nonsense. No characters sneaking through on the backs of their teammates or shady alliances. And no whining about characters not being ruthless enough. I was initially apprehensive about Doom running this tournament, but I should have remembered that Doom is Doom and is therefore infallible. This will be awesome. :D

None of my picks made it :(. I guess Kang's out because of his easily abused time-travel powers. Super-Adaptoid out because he's too powerful, or because the match would just end up in a mirror-image fight with whoever he was up against? But c'mon, no love for the giant purple mutant-stomping Sentinel?

Scarecrow would have been cool, but seeing pretty much every other Batman villan in here I guess we ran out of room.

Either way, this is gonna be fun.

    Bullshit!

Bullseye flings a rock into Blobs mouth and causes him to choke to death. Blob can't exactly do a self-administered Heimlich with all that fat around his stomach.

Bullseye would never let himself get close enough to the Blob to be sat on.

Also, Shruikens/Little Shards of Glass/Basically anything pointy flying into Blob's eyes and throat will be sure to stop him in his tracks.

Yeah, I was thinking Bulls Eye was fucked until I read the Blobs wiki. His face, eyes, and so on are vulnerable. Unless he can pull a roll of fat over his head, I don't see him winning.
