I'm gonna miss the elder gods. I really liked those mechanics, especially N'Zoth.

Despite the risk of harming the game, Blizzard decided to take direct action. Ben Brode himself reached down through Azeroth's stormy skies and took hold of Y'Shaarj's writhing body. With a heave of his mighty arm, he tore the Old God from the crust of the world. In that moment, Y'Shaarj's bulk was ripped apart. The immensity of the Old God's death rattle shattered mountaintops and obliterated hundreds of established decks where they stood. Y'Shaarj was dead, but its tendrils had bored more deeply through Azeroth than Brode had ever imagined. In excising the Old Gods from the world, he had ripped a wound in Azeroth's surface.

Ra discovered that remnants of Y'Shaarj's corporeal form lay strewn across the southern reaches of the world. When Ben Brode had ripped the Old God from Azeroth, pieces of the entity had fallen back to the surface, infusing the land with evil that echoed with a new, even more terrible sound to weaken the hearts of mortals: “I’m Y’Shaarj now...”

With Patches gone I would be totally fine with a pirate-heavy expansion
I'm excited to dust a ton of stuff come the big shift, but it also makes me thing again about how I like some cards and I would refrain from dusting them if we could maybe organize binders for them. Like, I know I'll never use Xaril again, but I wouldn't mind keeping the card. I want to be able to organize a fun binder of cards I like. I know that is not worth Blizzard's time, but it is just something dumb I've always wanted. I LIKE COLLECTING CARDS AND BEING ORGANIZED. I still have my Sylvannis and Ragnaros and want to put them in a binder damn it.

saying goodbye to Patches and Raza has me excited for the next expansion without even worrying about what new cards will be introduced
The best part of next expansion will be the cards we are losing.
Y'know how Un'goro felt fresh as all hell because of the rotation prior? Shuffling out TGT, BRM, and LOE? Removing problem cards like TROGGS RULE and *LUMBERING GROAAAAN* and WHO'S UP FOR AN ADVENTURE and WE'RE GONNA BE RICH-- you get the point
You remember how much of an impact that had on the meta at the time?
That's gonna be fucking NOTHING compared to removing the Kraken sets.
Next year's rotation is going to be like Deathwing swooping down over Azeroth and lighting the whole damn thing on fire.
It's going to be the biggest most monumental earthshattering changes we've ever had to this game.
Even just removing MSOG alone.
And I'd like to think that Team 5 really truly learned some valuable lessons from Kraken as a whole, because honestly? The quality of Mammoth sets have been entirely different. We haven't seen any parasitic cards being printed. Sure, there's been problem cards here and there, but so far they've been dealt with (and I have to imagine the February nerfs will deal with the KNC problem cards as well). Death Knights were maybe a bit too strong though, if I'm being frank. But if we're looking at Mammoth being the foundation for the next rotation, and if we're looking at Mammoth being removed in 2019... Then they did a damn good job compared to Kraken.

If they don't nerf Corridor Creeper it's gonna be the new Patches.
If they don't nerf Corridor Creeper it's gonna be the new Patches.
There's no way they don't.
It's showing up in practically every deck, even some Demonlock variations (and if people are running that in a control deck, y'all fucked up blizzo). It is most assuredly on their radar. I don't think the question at this point is "will they nerf it", it's "how will it get nerfed"
Because there's a right way and a wrong way. If they simply increase the cost, that might not matter too much? But if they do something like, say, making the cost reduction only apply to YOUR minions killed, yeah that might work out? It's hard to say, though. If you're an aggro deck and you've got 4 minions on board by Turn 3, and they all die... That's still a 3 mana 5/5.
I dunno.

Yeeeeeeah, that's a good point, huh.
About UI, though, the nerf to Innervate DEFINITELY did make a difference. It made a huge difference and had a huge impact, not being able to cast UI on T8 (or god forbid T6).
Is UI still a bullshit card? Yeah. Is that largely because of how it works in relation to Jades? Hmm, partially.
I dunno. It's hard to say how UI will look in a world without Jades, because I'm not sure how Druid itself will look. Which isn't to say that UI won't ever NOT be staple (it will), but maybe it won't be quite as horrendously OP when it's no longer drawing five LARGER AND LARGER MANS (potentially all for 1 mana :rotate:)?
Then again, I still get a sinking feeling in my chest when I've run a Druid out of resources and oops they topdeck UI and oops they just refilled their hand l o fucking l.
But, yknow, there's also Big Druid, and UI is pretty busted in that deck too, right? Hm.
(Druid is also going to lose quite a bit of Ramp in the rotation too, though.)
I still think they should've just nerfed UI in addition to Innervate, though. At the very least hitting the card draw.

Eh, UI is fine as a Druid card. It doesn't solve any of Druid's weaknesses, and for a 10 mana spell it has surprisingly little board effect. Honestly Patches is annoying, and strong, but it's fine too. Cube and Creeper are real problems that I truly hope they address.

Brawl is Shaman and Priest against Nefarian. Priest is mostly spells and support cards, Shaman is big minions, Windfury, and resurrect effects.
Boss starts at 0/200, phase transitions at 160 health (+5 attack, board wipe, spells become more powerful) and 60 health (+5 attack, heal 30 health, spells become even more powerful).
Did it in one shot but it was hairy and my teammate was really on the ball. We beat it by sticking a special brawl minion that gets +1/+1 whenever anyone plays a card after the second transition and buffing it and healing it while it beat the shit out of Nefarian.

I used a Resurrection card on Brann. When Nefarian self-destructed at the end, he cleared off the board, too, but good ol' Brann survived.

Seeing a man who has turned his penis into a flail - in the hearthstone thread no less - is definitely one of those things.
You learn new things every time you look at Carnivorous Cube's art
I wonder if I should craft some stuff for that?
No, Jay. No you should not. You are not Dog. This will only end in tears.
Even then he said something like "I feel like I'm flipping a coin here, if it's control I win and if it's aggro I lose."
And my deck is good! No fair! :P

Realizing your enemy is a fatigue mage and just not playing any minions. Forcing them to use up spells on nothing, etc. to avoid milling.
A million turns later: forcing them to drop their own minion, poylmorphing it themselves so they can ping and get a water ele out for the heals.
The next turn: Dropping a fatty they can't poly.
