Twilight Imperium 4e - Game 2 - Round 7: Game Over!

I think the answer is, Twilight Imperium doesn't care about secret information or conditional ACs.
Rather, MrBody's Committee choice could usurp Phyphor's choices in the play order, based on information Phyphor has given. And Phyphor can't react because his card has been cancelled?

I don't know, these rules don't make much sense.

Actually the committee triggers on 'Before players vote' which should be after 'After an agenda is revealed'.
So MrBody can still do whatever with that

Yes, that's how I'm ruling it. Action cards like the Riders and Veto all happen first, and then Committee Formation can be spent afterwards, before the first votes are cast. I'll leave things open until tomorrow night for further discussion and plays before moving things forward.

I say we vote for Hacan. He's not a leader, has to waste an action taking his home system back, and Muaat gets no benefit for attacking him since it would cancel out the support for the throne note.

If we give it to L1z1x or myself, Muaat just attacks us and instantly wins.

Then Winnu instantly attacks Hacan and wins.

If you give it to L1z1x, he has my ceasefire.
But then Winnu probably attacks him and wins.
If you give it to the Naalu, then his fighter hordes might be able to hold off Phyphor, and I'm not close to the Naalu either.

Not sure how many more chances you'll have to use that committee and we need to head off Phyphor as well as me.

I reckon a For only hurts Phyphor, which might be reason enough to vote For actually.
We may need to take MR off him at some point.

Play a rider choosing Against as the outcome.

    Warfare Rider
After an agenda is revealed: You cannot vote on this agenda. Predict aloud an outcome of this agenda. If your prediction is correct, place 1 dreadnought from your reinforcements in a system that contains 1 or more of your ships.

Assuming that voting has started, and @MrBody 's vote is unchanged
    Vote 8 for For
I'd prefer to weaken Phyphor than have a fleet token, and it looks like I'll get the fleet token anyway if it does go Against.

    I would like to play

    Leadership Rider
After an agenda is revealed: You cannot vote on this agenda. Predict aloud an outcome of this agenda. If your prediction is correct, gain 3 command tokens.
    FOR

    and

    Politics Rider
After an agenda is revealed: You cannot vote on this agenda. Predict aloud an outcome of this agenda. If your prediction is correct, draw 3 action cards and gain the speaker token.
    AGAINST

See and I'm kicking myself for not attacking his war sun instead of unexpected actioning, but I didn't expect he would draw a SO that could be completed that turn

I didn't draw an SO that could be completed that turn.
    I put that one back.
I just managed to get my planned 5VP turn off after picking 8.

In any case, unless people want to sabotage any of that junk from Phyphor, I'd strongly suggest voting For, unless we want to have to stop him getting the Imperial card through ACs.

Sorry for the delay in hosting response. I guess, since I didn't open things up this morning, pre-voting actions were still open, so Phyphor's Rider plays will be counted as valid. I'm a bit busy right now, but I'll leave it up to the players to make calls on Sabotages before making a choice on setting votes, as you'd like.

Everybody in my house has the flu, including me, so I'm just checking in occasionally when I'm less feverish and agreeing with stuff like "no sabs."

I just got done shoveling for an hour after finally getting my kids to sleep and would like to go die now.

Everybody who can vote should vote for if you want a chance at winning. And lykouragh probably needs to grab Imperial, so that if discrider has an action card that would prevent him from doing so MrBody still has a chance to take it.

You could get the 5 planets with a tech specialty pretty easily this round, actually. Especially with those extra command tokens you're about to get.

You could also get 1 point by winning a battle against Naalu and then would need a 1 point objective or Imperial + Mec Rex.

You could even manage the 2 point objective for 2 techs in 4 different colors if you have the action card that lets you research a tech.

It is, of course, easier for discrider to get the 1 point he needs.

As we have been strategically losing all game so as to ignite a revolution, we see no need to not continue to strategically lose now.

I have access to 6 planets with tech specialties sure. Except one is next to your homeworld which I can't reach with any meaningful ships anyway, one is next to hacans homeworld and one is held by the player with my ceasefire

Focused research and technology rider has already been played and in any case i would need both tech and trade goods to pull it off even if I had it
