Awesome, thanks. Is there a comprehensive (fluff) wiki or similar? I know there's http://infinitythewiki.com, but it seems to be all rules stuff? Like, searching for "zondcat" returns no results.
I gather there's an Outrage GN, do the peoples enjoy that?

No. They keep fluff as one of the main reasons to buy the books, so you're not going to find much published online.

It was a decent story, nothing spectacular. I think it does kind of overplay just what one badass sniper should be able to achieve in a competent, futuristic setting. XD

I really enjoyed Outrage. It’s got pacing issues but overall it was a fun read. But it does use my favourite unit as the bad guys so I’m a bit biased.
Outrage was a fun read, they made miniatures of all the protagonists and the main antagonist, I kind of wish they'd add rules to all of them even if they aren't very good, lol, I'd just like to use them if I ever actually get a game in.

At LVO they said the Outrage characters would be getting a non aligned sectorial.
Though they’re going to need a few more minis like Stallion Jack, and probably remotes to pad out the list.
I'll note with that Zondcat from the Tomcat box, I cannot for the life of me, get its tail to stay on. There seems to be a cut-off point with regards how Infinity models are designed and how easy they are to put together (although you still get the odd one nowadays that proves to be a massive pain).
Outrage was an enjoyable read; I wasn't too enthralled with the models that came out; I don't know if that was down to the painjob, or them having a slightly different style to the normal range (the Dogface stands out).
Thanks all. Can't see myself actually playing, but if I can find any of the minis locally I might check a couple out. HOW HARD CAN ASSEMBLING AND PAINTING MINIATURES BE RIGHT

The newer models are not hard to assemble, at least. They have keyed joins that makes the vast majority of them very easy to assemble. There's some outliers (fuck you Tuareg sniper you can stay in bits) but for the most part are relatively easy.
Painting them, well. They're considered some of the best sci fi minis on the market. Lots of intricate detail. Commission painters regularly get pissed off when they get big lots of Infinity models. So... yeah.
Regarding the Outrage models, they're a mixed bag. Emily is overall nice but has some weirdass eyebrows. Domovoi looks like the Michelin Man. Just really odd. Nakadai is like a love letter to second edition. Uhahu is really good. Beba is nice if you like super cheesecake models. Jethro looks great except the head. I've seen a conversion where someone put a Druze head on him and he looks a million times better.
Hey so anyone else been watching all the things CB has been dropping about some upcoming JSA changes, but fluff stuff and probably game stuff? I'm hoping it's some good stuff!
Speaking of JSA, I've got a game next week with a friend of mine and I haven't played in a while, so I thought I'd drop my lists here for some second opinions? We're bringing two lists each and then randomly choosing one of four missions (I forget the list, but they're all special operations missions). Not sure yet what faction he's playing but he should be letting me know when he decides since he knows I'm on JSA (He's got CA, Haqq, YJ and PanO)
List 1 is a HI Link, with Spitfire and Missile launcher, and support from A Ninja hacker, Raiden HML and a Rui Shi. The Link team runs area control, with the Ninja to protect them from enemy hackers, while the specalists (doc, medic, FO, Yuriko, Kempei) push any buttons.
SO HI Link
──────────────────────────────────────────────────
List two has my Biker trio, plus Shinobu, a Spitfire Domaru and REM pair. The bikes can go fast and hard for mid-table objectives, while the REMs can drop into area control and Shinobu can do her thing.
SO Biker list
──────────────────────────────────────────────────
Ever since they made the Holy Trinity of Kusinagi (Spitfire, obvs) with a Custodier HD+ and a Healer legal, it's just been a laugh making lists for them
Like, this is crazy. 16 orders and I've got some serious shit in here!

Yeah, part of my love for Bakunin these days is that they’ve got a bunch of options at different price ranges and almost none of them adhere to the ‘standard’ unit of that type/point range.
crunching a big target first turn before they can do any damage is so damn relevant at times
Big target in this case is only 30 points for the custodier.
And you can't really Shinobu the trinity link because odds are you won't get all 3 in base to base to martial arts 5 them. There's a reason it's rocketed Bakunin up, it's incredibly versatile and pretty resilient.
Shinobu has a pretty good chance of taking out 1-2 of them, though, and probably dying in the process, but maybe not. Like, she could chuck smoke on them, and then move through the team.
Thing is, she's like 50pts so it's pretty legit that she's that deadly
No they do not, and they are not good in CC either, though they have decent PH, so you'd want to avoid putting the template directly on them, they might dodge out of it even at -3
Typical Haris in that sense, tbh
If I was facing JSA I'd assume an Oniwaban and make sure that I had some Morlocks nearby to attempt to cover them.
I always spread my links out to an extent, and then try to cover them to the front with skirmishers and warbands
Like, have the Haris in a building, have the exits covered by Morlocks and a Zero up front who might cause some trouble with mines and that
BJC don't have any MSV2 so they mostly deal with TO Camo through templates. But Shinobu is very good, she'll almost certain kill something, maybe a couple of things, before she goes down. If you go second, it's basically prepare to have lost a heavy hitter by the end of their first turn tbh.

For the first list, looks pretty good. Basically what I would take if I played JSA.
Second list, well, hope you don't run into an abundance of Intruders is all I'm saying!
I did see a leaked photo online about new sexy JSA stuff mind...
Gimme dat ramah taskforce sectorial already.

Had to cancel the game as my friend is too bogged down at work He's apparently going to be playing a Bakunin list though!

lolll
Like the Custodier. People are just like "oooh a nasty hacker"
And then on my turn I just use her to clean people out. ODD and she can put down White Noise if you have MSV? Fuck yes
crunching a big target first turn before they can do any damage is so damn relevant at times

If I was facing JSA I'd assume an Oniwaban and make sure that I had some Morlocks nearby to attempt to cover them.
I think that's why I like Shinobu so much, against someone who doesn't prep for her properly you can take out some major targets first turn
and then if they do take precautions it's usually at the loss of something else instead that I can capitalise on
Like, have the Haris in a building, have the exits covered by Morlocks and a Zero up front who might cause some trouble with mines and that
BJC don't have any MSV2 so they mostly deal with TO Camo through templates. But Shinobu is very good, she'll almost certain kill something, maybe a couple of things, before she goes down. If you go second, it's basically prepare to have lost a heavy hitter by the end of their first turn tbh.
really really excited

Love the spec-ops guy a lot actually, very cool
also the anime references are off the chart here! but they look great
To both questions
But I would say that if you get the new JSA box, I reckon that'll be way more interesting to play than regular ol' J Sectoral A
And, plus, I expect to see the Invincible Army this year. New YJ stuff in that sense.
not that many of the JSA units are often used in vanilla YJ, but I'm sure the Invincibles will add enough to make up for those ones
