Also, short aside: I'm kind of sick of seeing all these paintings with palette splotches all over them, because it seems more often than not the artist sticks to it so damn rigorously that it starts to feel like they think sticking to their arbitrarily defined initial palette is more important than what the final product, or reality for that matter, actually friggin' looks like. It's supposed to be a TOOL, not a GOAL, guys. If something needs to be darker, don't be like "but I can't go darker my palette doesn't go that dark" or "maybe I should add a darker palette splotch", JUST PICK THE FUCKING COLOR AND DO IT ALREADY, JESUS! Who GIVES A DAMN if the color is on your palette splotch array or not, good lord.

Sorry since this is the third time Ive posted the same piece, but things took a different turn than I originally intended and would really appreciate some feedback to see if I'm heading in the right direction. Almost done, will probably spend an hour or so tomorrow refining it and cleaning things up. Right now it's real messy.

rounded face, smaller arms, less square eyes, Cloth stretching around the boobs, more curves in general, eh? still kinda mannish, but hey, it was quick.
The tablets lack of drag takes time to get used to, and I never used the paper trick or changed to a felt nib. You might benefit from useing the eyedropper to switch between black and white and use that to shape lines, rather than just trying to keep your hand steady. (I hope that makes sense...)
also, yea, my tablet doesn't have any pressure sensitivity at all, so i do the whole 'draw a black line, then erase and taper the edges' over and over. but i'm getting a wacom intuos for christmas, so excited.
