We really should do a post mortem as some point on where that Piloting sabotage card came from. Neither Preda, Hedge, or Strongbad were Cylons at that point. Preda & Strong were the only ones who could have thrown in a piloting card at that point, and Hedge reported the card play record which seemed accurate.

I agree. I would like to see who did it.

Thank god we killed that centurion!
But that crisis is really bad. We can't really afford to lose food, and the destiny deck is already overfull of Treachery card, but gaining a mutiny card is really dangerous for me too...

@Korsakovia, there is something strange in the mutiny card situation. MrBody played one and anyway all but the mutineer can't have 2...

I'm a bit confused on how Treachery cards work after all these expansions. Are there no more "reckless" effects on them? Is the Reckless trait effectively meaningless now?

My understanding is, all Treachery cards have skill checks that are resolved when the cards are played into a check.
If certain Treachery cards are intentionally discarded then the discarding player can gain at most 1 Mutiny Card.
    Then there's Recklessness.
"If the check has been made Reckless, then a card is drawn from the Treachery deck. If the card has a strength of 0, then an additional card is drawn from the Treachery deck and both cards' skill check abilities are resolved; otherwise, there is no effect. In no case will the drawn cards' strength values affect the skill check total."

  • MrBodyMrBody Registered User regular
    PM'd you a question about a card.

Where is that excerpt from? Pegasus has a different rule for reckless, and I didn't see any mention of Reckless in a search with all the other expansion manuals.

My understanding of the Daybreak Reckless rules is that the Treachery Cards that gets flipped over is done after the other Skill Cards strength and card text is resolved. Has anyone found different?

"After resolving all skill abilities during a Reckless skill check,
turn the top card of the Treachery deck faceup and carry out
one of the following steps, based on the card’s strength:"

One of the conumdrums of play by post in that, a) do we let people play in when they are available even if that means cards that should be played pre-start of check are played after the start, or b) wait for everyone to pass on playing such cards before starting the check.

I'm for either way, though the former seems to be the one done most often on these boards. Can try the other way for next time, though. all for what you guys/gals want to use.

    On that note.
