Ok. So there's the just elected VP hot potato that I believe we ended up with. And we have the one that beefed up one of Winnu's planets and the one that gives Winnu extra trade goods whenever they refresh commodities. Fun times.

Oh no.
We're voting on four Agendas.
The other game is going to cruise past us.

But what if someone wants to play a rider, so then we could spend all sorts of extra time trying to negotiate with each other as to whether to choose the one that would get the rider, maybe throw out a bribe or two to do so, and then do it all over again when we actually re-vote on the law where we did all this the first time!

Right, if we can get @mrbody to confirm his apathy then I think we can get to voting

If people want to re-vote on commerce minister, we're all going to need to contribute enough votes so that discrider can't just throw 17 votes at it and ensure that we end up re-voting on the VP hot potato instead.
But let's get on with the voting asap and out of this agenda phase regardless. Even if we just rush to get to re-voting the VP.
Shard of the Throne (Law) Elect Player: The elected player gains this card and 1 victory point. A player gains this card and 1 victory point when he wins a combat against the owner of this card. Then, the previous owner of this card loses 1 victory point.
Voting Order The Barony of Letnev (Ketar): Up to 7 votes The Ghosts of Creuss (MrBody): Up to 8 votes The Winnu (discrider): No votes available. Sardakk N'orr (Preda): Up to 3 votes The Mentak Coalition (Hedgethorn): Up to 6 votes The Naalu Collective (Mojo_Jojo): Up to 10 votes; Speaker
It sounds like everyone's ready for things to get moving, so feel free to discuss as much as you'd like before proceeding to voting.
Cassandra was a Greek prophet who was cursed to always tell the truth but no-one would believe her.

Revoting on the VP does rather make it easy to transfer and render the first vote meaningless.
Being prophetic makes me think you're stuck in this vote hell somewhat longer than the rest of us.

So are we using votes right now to determine which of the three eligible laws are elected, and then using whatever votes are left to re-do that law?
edit: Or is this some nightmare scenario where we all just throw votes at any of the three, and all three are re-determined?

I think we should spread the love of trade goods around by electing a new commerce minister.

5 votes for the commerce minister law.
@MrBody
@discrider
17 votes for Shard of the Throne
@Preda said he didn't care and wasn't voting
@Hedgethorn
That makes 7 votes for Commerce, 17 votes for the Throne Shard VP.
@Mojo_Jojo to decide.
The bloody vp it is
That is; I got nothing now.
Feel free to vote on the VP again without my interference.

I'll sell my 7 votes for 1 TG. You want them, @Hedgethorn ?
Edit: somehow I missed the post directly above mine which shows that there is indeed some wrangling to be done
7 votes for Mentak.
I get it now; The Naalu's representative is Cassandra.
We apologise for putting you through this ordeal prior to putting you through this ordeal.

@discrider
(Because abstaining at this point seems strange, and I wish to reconfirm)
The abstentin was for the previous vote...
@Hedgethorn
Tally:
13 votes for Mentak
8 votes for Letnev
3 votes for Winnu
