OK, I got my badges. I was in the queue within a minute of getting the tweet (my browser was really slow to connect to the PAX site so I'll say it was probably about 45-55 seconds of waiting for the page to load, then a few more seconds to find where they were hiding the registration link), so as a rough estimate it took about 12-13 minutes. All passes were available to me when I was selecting my purchases.

I'm so over the moon! Happens on my day off, got the notification no problem, then acquired tickets and hotel - back to my hubby and I's second home, the Westin!
EDIT: Also because of the sudden rush of things, for the sake of buying the tickets and securing the hotels, I used my current address but I will be moving to my new place next week and my cards will be updated - when should I contact PAX about this so I don't lose anything?

Just two days ago I dreamed that I was in Seattle on business and PAX just happened to be going on. Somehow I got passes for the full weekend and I spent the rest of the dream trying to explain to my wife why my trip would be extended a few more days.

After spending my first 3 or 4 PAX staying with some local friends and one year at an AirBnB I would definitely say the hotel makes a huge difference! Being able to get up 30 minutes before doors and not worry about parking makes the mornings so much better! Also staying at the late parties and being able to just amble back to the room instead of driving for 15 - 30 minutes soooo nice.
One other suggestion, Uber Eats is the best thing ever!

Finished a meeting where I had to leave my phone at my desk and out of habit I refreshed the registration page and got this error:
After a minor heart attack and looking at my phone to see a twitter and text notification I refreshed again and got into the queue at 12:05. 8-)
Olive 8 for all days without issue and all days tickets! Happy dance for me
