Well, I like the idea of Naalu as speaker. It's what would have happened if I had taken Politics, since I couldn't actually make myself speaker again. Remembered that way too late.

I think if you hadn't done that and you were saying you weren't going to, barring the Creuss fleet bearing down on a leader, then Tech wouldn't be picked because it could give whoever had picked Imperial between us a good shot at winning this round.
It seemed like MrBody was going to pick Tech regardless, and then potentially had the action card needed to try to stop you from taking Imperial. If you don't actually have a sabotage.
I would have stuck with Politics if MrBody wanted me to though. I don't believe I've broken my word in any of our forum games, and I'd prefer not to start now. I'd also not like to lose due to sticking to a poorly thought out offer though, so it was at least worth broaching a change with MrBody.

No card play. @MrBlarney to resolve combat. (Don't forget my cruisers get Ambush to start.)
(Also, conditional order made, and I get a TG from Salvage Operations whether I win or lose this combat.)
I do get a second Ambush roll, @MrBlarney. Not sure if we need to reroll the whole first round depending on the outcome of that roll?
What will probably happen is, if your second Ambush roll hits, then a fighter will die and you will be hit once less in the first round of combat, as a die is removed from the right hand side of the Naalu's fighter roll.
Oh, whoops: I misread the ability, even though it's no different than the equivalent TI3e ability. (For some reason, I thought it was 1 die per 2 Destroyers/Cruisers. I blame being dead out of energy last night.)
If there is a hit on the second roll, then it will be as discrider said: rolls will be taken from left to right, and one fewer hit will be registered by Naalu.
As for our action, I don't believe I have a choice. Play Leadership.
