I'm about to buy an OEM monitor that doesn't come with cables. I have scads of 3-prong power cords lying around the house but no extra male to male DVI cables. Can I just order the cheapest thing I can find like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812189044 or do I have to drop twenty bucks on a 'premium' cable.
The ridiculous HDMI racket has made me extremely suspicious of any and all A/V cables.

I've used some Link Depot stuff, and it's not all that good, even for low end stuff.
The best quality for the money in calbes I've ever found is good old monoprice.com. The majority of my AV cables have come from there, and I've yet to have anything disappoint me.
