Does the princess count as a Kingdom unit, such that if she's on the same area she started on, then she gets nuked, too?

Okay ... So, if we don't want her to get hammered, she's got to make it off the Ice Lord's starting tile. Which means she needs to move for each of her actions.

She's currently out of resources with <=5 soldiers, depending on how much damage we apply to them. We could kill all the soldiers with that damage, which means she could book it, but that puts her near to the Emperor with no support and a well-provisioned, aggressive enemy general.

So, basically, that is going to result in us losing the game, so we can't let her go that far, which means we need her to be able to survive the nuke, which means we can't assign too much damage to her.

    So, uh .. Shit? Help?

If someone sits on the ice lord spawn point she can be forced to go through the necromancer fields instead. I can move up there next turn. It's 7 squares instead of 6 to goal but we might be able to make it

Yeah, and then they'd get nuked.

    @MrBody

Okay, lacking any other input ... 2 health damage to the Princess, wipe out her soldiers. We'll need to heal her once this turn so she can survive the nuke.

    Alright.

@elvenshae for final hero replacement choice and spawning location?

I'll take the elven king and start on the angry twin's place.

    Map
    73VnkZn.jpg
Enemies with red backgrounds are aggressive, and will begin moving towards the nearest kingdom hero 1 space per turn as soon as one enters within a 1 area range.
Blue background: defensive, will never move.
White: Will move only to attack adjacent kingdom hero.

Remember you must pause and draw a fate card the first time a character moves into the same area or adjacent space as an empire general (exceptions: Black Knight, King of the Abyss, Emperor).

    Empire Generals
    aBX11rU.jpg

    Dormas 2/5 health

    Fate:
Ice Lord - Bane of the Capital - As long as this character is on the map, the princess will now move towards this character instead of the Capital (highest priority).

    Kingdom Heroes
    GxFE8in.jpg
    Donia 1/4 health
    Princess 3/5 health

    Allies
Zyne: (Black Drake) May spend 3 supply to add 4 dice once per battle.

    Cards
(Zyne) Master's Armor- ongoing: Gain 1 die when defending
(Godfried) Balanced Weapons- Gain 1 battle die.

    Resources

    Elf King: 10 (Elvenshae)
    Josephine: 1 (Phyphor)
    Donia: 5 (Daemonis)
    Annelie: 1 (Preda)
    Zyne: 2 (AustinP0027)
    Godfried: 28 (NotoriusBEN)
    Princess Cornelia: 1

    Turn 5
    Event (Stage II)

Ancestral Weapon: At the end of the round, all kingdom units on the area on which the princess started the round suffer 5 damage each.

Dark Rituals: (ongoing)- The princess loses 1 health at the start of each princess step. Kingdom characters on the same area as the princess may take this damage instead of her.

    (next event via Donia scouting)

Hopelessness: (ongoing)- If an empire character was not defeated this round, all kingdom units take 2 damage.

@MrBody 4 ex undead troops should have attacked Zyne. Also, female twin should respawn next to the brother (specific exe still elvenshae choice or already Phyphor one as new first player?)

    Oh right. It's Phyphor's choice.

    @AustinP0027 to roll for combat

Aside: one of the empire characters not being used this game is a female android, forgotten from an ancient war and left waiting in an isolated forest for her master.

US OLD FOLKS are going to assume this is a reference to Mieu from Phantasy Star III.

Every play of this since I picked it up she's right next to a character that can defeat / recruit her more or less immediately. It's made things a lot easier than the set-up you guys are working against.

I can't really see any reason to spawn her anywhere except on the north hex, unless zyne wants to attack her?

    Options this round
    1) I suicide on the ice lord's start to redirect the princess to the necromancer tile
    2) We give the princess supplies to move 3x - this would require also sending a whole bunch of troops so she doesn't immediately die anyway and would get attacked by lyla

We can't let the princess tank it as the two events kill her outright from full

  • Options
    AustinP0027AustinP0027 Registered User regular
Feels like we need to send her a bunch of stuff to have her move. I don't know that you suiciding makes a ton of sense (at least, I don't think so)

She's guaranteed to become an ally, but her ability is one of the weakest ones (+1 die) until you self destruct her.

Now the emperor's daughter, THAT is an outstanding ally to get early.

Toughest games are when the Black Drake starts right in front of the princess.

Okay, we'll try moving her, but we need to ensue she ends up with zero resources after the moves

Get a soldier and 5 R for free
    Gather 3 R
    Send princess a soldier and 8 R
    Move north

Ok, which general are we killing next turn? If none, I'd leave Dorgas alive for this turn.

I'm 14 resources from being able to attack Male Twin, so I don't see that happening this turn.

Though, looks like we need to send Princess troops, so maybe I need to part with one or two troops to weigh her down?

    Card sent

Good news is I'm only renting and it's mostly the landlord's problem! My only issue was having to set stuff out to dry and put everything else on pallets. Biggest trouble was a couple damp books I had to go through carefully separating the pages so they wouldn't dry glued together.

So, what is the plan? 2 damage next turn will kill me, who is going to defeat whom? (I have a card which could help to reach an enemy, if needed).

We should kill Dorgas this turn (if you have the resources to attack him ) and the mad twin will suicide aganist us next one.

  • Options

    1. Recruit soldier
    2. Attack Dorgas (-4 resources) playing Charge!: Add 2 dice for this combat
    Geth roll 5d6 for attack

    attack:
    5d6 21 [5d6=6, 5, 4, 2, 4]

    Lose 1 soldier, kill Dorgas.
    3. Send a card to Elf King

    @Preda

  • Options
    PredaPreda Registered User regular
1.Move north to the town. -1R
    2.Recruit 1 soldier.
    3.Recruit another soldier.
Free. Send both soldiers to the princess.

Now she has 3 soldiers and 9 resources, so will move thrice and remain without resources.
