Yeah those Malf changes are what I was hoping for, as they dot hit his numbers which are fine but rather how safe he is.
That being said, I was more suggest picking just ONE of those talents to get rid of (ice block primarily). Losing the speed at level 1 will suck, admittedly. I can't count the number of times it let me weave in and out of combat to hit with Moonfire. I'll definitely be picking it up at 13, not even close. Hopefully I should be fine until then.
Speaking of, Malfurion officially became my highest played hero, surpassing Xul by 1. My druid side is happy and content.
Also Raynor nerfs not nearly as bad as I was thinking. The change to the slow should keep him from just keeping it up by himself 24/7, I think?
YO WHAT THE FUCK THOSE AZMO BUFFS THOUGH HOLY SHIT
I SERIOUSLY DID NOT THINK THEY'D BUFF HIM THAT MUCH
hooooly shit.
i'll take it though. i was already fuckin' crushing with him anyway.
christ i didn't think he needed THAT much though. he felt fine, mostly!! goddamn. god damn.
kael buffs are nice too! artanis buffs are , i love artanis but felt like he needed some tuning up, and THIS IS IT LADS. holy FUCK that Blades of a Templar talent is literally a level 20 talent at fucking 16, jeeeeezus.
I have pretty much zero interest in HL and I'm totally confused by the people here who constantly subject themselves to the perils of solo queue as well. To me, the game is basically non-existent outside of a 4 or 5 stack. Trying to coordinate with randos is just never fun (see: azmo/zera picks in first rotation on CH).
EXCUSE ME I FEEL PERSONALLY ATTACKED BY THIS POST

Yeah but Nexus Blades was always a bad level 20 talent because if you're already in melee range hitting someone at level 20 a 20% slow doesn't matter. I don't even take tenderizer anymore, there's just so few situations where it does anything of value.

counterpoint: nexus blades has always been good on basically everyone who has it. it's not just the slow (which is actually good regardless), it's also the 20% AD.
and of course you don't take tenderizer, if you take that you can't get toxic gas!
Man just reading over all the changes, I want to play bad. Want to roll on Malf and then Kael'thas. I want to try Azmodan too but I think that's a solo thing as I imagine he'll be contested.
ALSO, concerning the hero likely being Lady Whitemane (hah, told you Terran don't need door handles :snap: ), if she's a discipline priest ... isn't that kind of what they turned Malfurion into?
what's actually going to happen is that it's herod and all 3 of his buttons cast whirlwind and his ult kills him and summons a thousand extra minions in the lane he was in.

Yeah, my first thought was less "Scarlet Monastery boss" and more "Tyrion Fordring questline".

I wasn't a fan of Wrath Azmo before.
But now just fuck it, they nerfed Wrath and buffed the synergy of Gluttony's stuff.
All hail the king of sin, baby.

Yea procraft ran some of the numbers and the difference in dps favoring wrath over gluttony is nuts

All hail the king of sin, baby.
They barely nerfed Wrath.
All they did was lower the window to proc the bonus AA from 4 secs to 3 secs
Which is, uh, trivial.
A nerf, yes, but... not really?
Oh wait, I had it backwards. I thought they had nerfed the proc timing for Bombardment.

But at any rate, I just had a game where I tried Wrath and when I got to 200 stacks I had hit 58 heroes with dunks and only about 24 or so heroes were hit with wrath shots.
That's my point on the whole Wrath vs Gluttony thing. Your playstyle is safer and your dunks get stronger, faster than wrath. (This is mainly a continuation of a discussion I had last night with some people from the East Coast NGS team about my Azmo build choice)

I agree that Gluttony likely stacks faster, but the synergy with Wrath/Bombardment just feels too good to give up. Late game you can hit most of a team with 400 damage AAs- I don't know that current Azmodan brings enough to the table without that extra DPS.
Of course, that may change with today's patch. Now that Azmo has a more impactful early/mid-game the faster stacking is probably a lot more relevant.
I liked that they nerfed the reset window on swift strike from an absurd 2s, to a still absurd 1.5s. Hey blizzard you finally found a big portion of the problem, maybe you need to take it to .5 seconds.

That just means you're not AAing enough, probably.
I get CRAZY amount of Wrath stacks just from AAs.

Yeah Azmodan is basically a mage now. If you aren't weaving basic attacks in then you are playing way too passively.
Yea if you need to play that passively that you need to take gluttony, there was likely a better hero you could have picked, but its there for when things don't work out as planned but are you really going to know that at level 1

The buff to the demon warrior is significant. They actually do shit now.
As in you can summon them for siege giants and they will actually tank them for you. Long enough for you to summon a second one (assuming you have the talent that lowers to CD per AA swing).
Also All Shall Burn...the damage in fucking siiiiiick. I just want to emphasize something. This is where they buffed the dunk damage to:
Damage increased from 164 to 192
This is where they buffed the final shot of the Lazer:
Final damage increased from 272 to 320
I dunno, it might be worth it to take the two Lazer talents at 13 and 16 for the extra PvE and team fight potential.

Blunt Force Gun (R)
No longer deals damage to enemy Structures
well holy shit... never thought they'd do that...
although honestly, i think it's a bit TOO much. It should honestly probably have stayed the same until level 20, and if you take the orbital BFG talent, it strips the structure damage.

I think they will probably do something with it later but they are just testing out this change to see how much that lowers it's winrate and pickrate and then buff it accordingly.
It's healthier for the game though and encourages more thoughtful use.

The structure damage is pretty irrelevant before Orbital BFG anyway. I think Orbital is not a good level 20 talent anymore though, they'll probably redesign it later.
weren't you saying just the other day that you were gonna stop playing after like two losses in a row because it changes how you feel about the game :P

Holy shit, they finally did something about Orbital BFG. Hammer is no longer auto-win in ARAMs if you make it to 20. That's a nice change for regular games as well, but I don't see how the pick rate on Orbital doesn't drop like a rock.
Orbital wasn't just about killing structures, though; it was also about permanently clearing a minion wave. It's like having lave wave go off down a lane forever, for free. There's a lot of value in that, even if it doesn't also kill structures.

Yeah but most people weren't smart enough to use it that way and instead would fire it so it hit like 2 or 3 keeps. The idea being to stall your game out long enough that the enemy lost all their keeps and so you either took the lead or evened the game out and then you fire it at the keep so the shields don't regenerate.
Now you will have to use it for either clearing a lane or controlling an objective.
