I dont like speedkicks, l am always happy to see him get slapped down.
What's the beef? Just don't like his style?
His main topic of conversation basically revolves around how smart he is, he's fairly humorless, and his social media posts are constantly shared onto my feeds. So I basically have an eye roll about the guy a few times a week. I also don't think Hwoarang is a particularly interesting character at all. Stealing rounds with a safe armored long range launcher is so smart, much brain.
I don't think he's a bad human or whatever, but I don't cheer for him.

Makes sense.
But I can't begrudge the character even now. I was taking Muay Thai and TKD when Tekken 3 came out, so I've had big love for him ever since.
Sonicfox just did some neat Geralt stuff I didn't know about. When in Soul Charge your signs no longer cost meter, so for as long as you have Charge you can just spam the shit out of them.
Turns out that having moves that have to be blocked low makes a big difference in DBFZ
whoda thunk it
But seriously, looking forward to seeing more of SonicFox's Nappa team as he gets better with it! I think lots of people knew he could be a deadly character once he gets a knockdown in the corner because that would give him time to set up his saibaman oki, but so many characters are deadly with a knockdown in the corner that the additional weaknesses he had just weren't worth it. But now with the buffs, Nappa has got more strengths outside of that one particular situation
love sako's menat, good job to him for taking it at SCR
In the way that Infiltration seemed to have a bottomless bag of tricks with Nash in S1, Sako seems like he has a bottomless bag of tricks with Menat in the current season, and Sako sometimes takes gambles that I wouldn't imagine Infiltration trying. Sako also isn't just about the sweet combos and cool tricks the way he often seemed to be in SF4, where if those failed him for any reason, he could be at a loss.
I'll have to catch up on the Tekken part of SCR, it sounds like some good matches were played.
people talk about Sako's combos, but what really sets his Menat apart from the crowd is the way he uses the orbs in scramble situations
he gets a lot of things like trades that combo into orbs, orb anti-airs that get full conversions, and he seems to be able to do that no matter what orbs are left on deck
once he shows his opponent that he is not to be fucked with while in possession of an orb, he just walks up and throws them LUL
Young Demitri looks weirdly like a Disney character from Kingdom Hearts
Menat having TWO costumes when Chun only has one?! SFV to be sustained by Menat costumes now?!
Also one of Menat's costumes being "Khaibit" feels weird because I think what she actually is is Midnight Bliss Anakaris? Somebody correct me on this.
Bonchan's Sagat is legit, and his multiple 1 pixel of life or even 0 life comebacks were HYPE
I do wonder if Bonchan is going to wind up being the person who makes Sagat work in spite of Sagat, though, like he did with Sagat at the end of SF4's life.
Khaibit isn't midnight bliss Anak, he turns into an extremely fucked up long wtf thingy. Khaibit shows up in his Royal Judgement super and ES command throw. She also drives his legs around during his dark force.
The thing in front of anak is khaibit. No idea why it became a sexy menat costume.

Really missed out on the possibility of Necalli Felicia.
It's just a reply to SonicFox's post about how he had fun with his Nappa team, but is going to go back to his EVO championship team, and thus no more Nappa team.
But it's even better coming from Kazunoko, because Yamcha is on Kazunoko's team, Kazunoko's favourite character is Yamcha, and Kazunoko won the tournament that SonicFox's Nappa team was at.

Jimmy vs Speedkicks should be a fun one at least.
Who was JDCR using in the main tournament? Did he stick with Drag or switch to Heihachi or someone?
Joey Fury 1) plays an entertaining Jack and 2) is capable of switching to Paul at a moment's notice.
I really enjoy Saint outside of the usual Saint/JDCR finals, and we got that out of the way in top 32.
So honestly I'm not really too bummed about a Jack heavy top 8
Proving yet again that I am a Tekken genius
Pulling for jimmy to take the whole thing.
Chet coming out of nowhere and dumbassing his way to a win is also acceptable.
Holy shit that was a good set
Edit: shit I have to leave to pick up my dad at the airport in 15 minutes, gonna miss this GF unless it goes super fast.

Kazunoko killing it with Yamcha is great

I feel like they should've gone with a Japanese rapper. It would have sounded a little like Gantz theme.
And they would suffer with the lyrics, not us.
Bonchan's match with Tatarian was weird. It looked like they were playing FT10 exhibition matches.

That Menat costume is not actually Khaibit at all.
In actual darkstalkers games, anak's midnight bliss looks like this:
But in Capcom Fighting Evolution, it looks like this.
Ive never played CFE, so I hadn't ever seen that sprite.
I really thought Mika was gonna get a Felicia costume.
Necalli could get Talbain and Blanka Sasquatch.

i can definitely see what people are on about w/ praising fighting games for only patching 1-2 times per year
it seems like there have already been 3-4 distinct metas in DBZ's short life
although the first one seemed warranted. the game has gotten more interesting

maybe I should add this to the opening post....
