So according to the 110% accurate transitive law of football, Vanderbilt is exactly as good as Michigan except its defense is 2 points beeter.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I am not looking forward to the Nebraska-Michgan game.
Just gotta keep telling myself it's a rebuilding year and we got a lot of young players
18 points is kind of an enormous spread. I do think Patterson will be able to do some things if Harbaugh lets him. And if Martinez can't go that might be grisly. But we're really not very good this year.
Self-righteousness is incompatible with coalition building.
26.5 point spread on the Alabama A&M game. I don't think we're going to win but I think we can cover that. I hope.
I was extremely confused here for a minute because Alabama A&M is a real school in the SWAC.
Whoops yep reading that a day later I had almost the same reaction

Which means you all should also know that you'll just have to wait that much longer to see what 10 games I picked out of a lot of terrible options.
Maybe some week instead of PAPN week I should randomly pick 10 FBS vs. FBS games and just do those.
Is Texas on there again?

I mean I'm not watching it. I'm going tailgating for the 3rd week in a row (oh god I'm dying) for TCU, but Kansas just scored 55 points and is on a 2-game win streak and Baylor is Baylor
Transitive property says Kansas is nearly as good as OSU

WEEK 4: THE PAC-12 SOUTH AND BIG TEN WEST ARE IN A FUN AND EXCITING RACE TO THE BOTTOM
Straight-Up
Northern Illinois @ Florida State (-10) - I mean, you all don't care about any of these games, right? What you really want to know about is my lovely day drinking wine and petting a whole host of very good animals, so I'm going to provide that for you. Also Willie Taggert would really like it if you just ignore his team for a few years or so, so I'm going to oblige him right now!
South Carolina (-2) @ Vanderbilt - The place we went to is Malibu Wine Safari. It's a bit of a false sell - the place isn't super close to Malibu, and it's not a safari so much as a petting zoo with llamas and horses and stuff. But the wine is good and it's still the California coast so the weather is nice, so you don't complain too much. Vandy should have beaten Notre Dame last week, which I feel is something you should know.
#17 Texas Christian (-3) @ Texas - The tour loads you into these makeshift safari vehicles, which are trucks with the truckbed removed and replaced with bleacher-style seating (thankfully cushioned). There's a climb to get into the truck, which is hilarious to watch at times because many of the participants did NOT plan for that when they chose their outfits, and again did not plan for that when trying to get back in the truck while drunk (spoiler: the people pouring the wine were very liberal with their pours, which was a definite plus). Texas may still be ass but at least they beat the shit out of USC, while TCU just got out-talented by THE Bad PR Choices University.
#18 Wisconsin (-3) @ Iowa - Our first stop on the tour featured the white wines, but more importantly featured a host of alpacas to watch and pet. The alpacas were rescues, as the alpaca farm they came from considered them too imperfect to keep around, which is crazy to me because they were adorable and goofy in all the best ways. The pen also had a few miniature horses (of course one was named Lil Sebastian) that fit into that same criteria. Wisconsin lost to a bunch of 40 year olds last week, nothing to be ashamed about.
Against the Spread
Nebraska @ #19 Michigan (-19.5) - *extremely Michigan Man voice* I would like to talk about the wines, if I may. The Sauvignon Blanc was a particular favorite of mine, with an interesting lemon finish that made for a truly engaging wine. Of course, I'm also partial to Muscats as a nice way to end the day, especially if I'm not feeling scotch that night (which isn't that often, if I must say so), so the specific blend from this winery was a real treat. Normally I do not care for Cuvees, as I find them lacking compared to more pure wines like a Cabernet, but the blend we tried as part of the tour was quite exquisite. Nebraska will lose this game, as all lesser programs do when facing the greatness of Michigan Football.
#3 Clemson (-16.5) @ Georgia Tech - If I had to pick the most fun part, it would be the larger animal area. There were plenty of animals out and about, from zebras to a water buffalo herd (which had recently welcomed a few new calfs, and was thus very protective, so we were told not to go too close to their enclosure). The most majestic creatures were the Scottish Highland Cows. These majestic creatures and their giant tongues absolutely loved the attention and weren't shy about letting you pet them, though their giant horns did catch a few guests unprepared (I was not stabbed because, as a UCLA fan, I have become very good at recognizing when something is going to hurt me). This game will be close because Paul Johnson or something, I don't know. It's still early season Clemson, anything can happen.
#22 Texas A&M @ #1 Alabama (-27.5) - Jimbo Fisher left Florida State because he wanted Alabama to beat his ass on a yearly basis, just fyi.
Arizona State @ #10 Washington (-16.5) - They also had some horses (very friendly) and some llamas that we could get up-close and feed. One llama in particular, who's name was Barack (O'Llama, get it?) was specifically trained to be able to take carrots that you held in your mouth without biting you, and because my friends are wonderful people, I ended up demonstrating this fact. So yes, I managed to kiss a llama on this tour. Also, quick side note, BUT I FUCKING CALLED ARIZONA STATE GETTING EXPOSED BY SAN DIEGO STATE LAST WEEK GO ME SCREW YOU FIGHTING HERMS.
GAME OF THE CENTURY OF THE WEEK (Straight Up)
#7 Stanford (-1.5) @ #20 Oregon - The clear star of the tour was, of course, Stanley the giraffe (the tour we went on is literally called The Giraffe Tour). Stanley has actually been in movies, and is extremely friendly, owning to the fact that he grew up raised by humans to work in the film industry (also quick aside, Warner Bros had some production shooting this day, and Will Smith had been on set the day prior, so that was fun to learn). Stanley is also an attention-hog in the best way, sticking around if he knows pictures are being taken and rubbing his head against your hand after being fed. He's my best friend now. I still don't know if Oregon is for real or not, and I thought Stanford may be good but it turns out USC is ass so they may not be good. Who knows? I sure don't. This is a bad week.
ughhhhhhhh, I haven't gotten to watch many games this year, so everything's just a SWAG :bigfrown:
Straight-Up
Northern Illinois @ Florida State (-10) South Carolina (-2) @ Vanderbilt
#17 Texas Christian (-3) @ Texas
#18 Wisconsin (-3) @ Iowa

Nebraska @ #19 Michigan (-19.5) - Don't fuck me on this one, you maize bastards.
#3 Clemson (-16.5) @ Georgia Tech
#22 Texas A&M @ #1 Alabama (-27.5) - TAMU don't want 'Bama. (fck you 'Bama)
K State @ West Virginia (-16.5) - MOUNTAIN MOMMA!
Arizona State @ #10 Washington (-16.5)
@Nirya looks like Kansas St v West Virginia is on the pick'em form, but no write-up. I mean... not that there's that much of a write-up to do for that one, probably.
Straight-Up Northern Illinois @ Florida State - lol
South Carolina @ Vanderbilt - Yeah I'll go with the fun pick. They're gonna get somebody this year that's for sure. Texas Christian @ Texas - Beating a garbage USC team does not a comeback make. Wisconsin @ Iowa - Yeah they lost to BYU, whatever. Still better than Iowa.
Against the Spread
Nebraska @ Michigan (-19.5) - Nebraska going on the road with the best case having their dual threat kid playing still a little hurt. He's either not playing or not able to do his usual thing. Clemson (-16.5) @ Georgia Tech - GT has been real bad, they're struggling to adapt to the new rules, and Clemson starts to turn it around after a short start. Texas A&M @ Alabama (-27.5) - Bama is killing people, but A&M seems like maybe losing by 24 is an option?
Kansas State @ West Virginia (-16.5) - K-State doesn't have much going this year. Arizona State @ Washington (-16.5) - 2 TD's and change seems like a lot. Washington is definitely gonna win, but both these teams seem to play ugly so a 17 point win would be a lot.
Game of the Week
Stanford @ Oregon - They seem like a team on the rise again, and at home I think they can pull off a win against a good-not-great Stanford team
Straight-Up
Northern Illinois @ Florida State - I still can't not find it funny when schools have directions in their name. As soon as you put a "northern" or "western" or whatever, I assume you're some rinky-dink outfit Vanderbilt - The pick-em google form had this listed as USC vs Vandy and I blacked out for a second while picking against USC
Texas Christian @ Texas - Look, I'm too committed to this bit at this point.
Wisconsin @ Iowa - @Iowa? At night? And it's not PSU's weird anti-voodoo squad?
Against the Spread
Nebraska @ Michigan (-19.5) - Boy I hold grudges for a long time Georgia Tech - So far I'm making terrible picks this week mainly due to grudges or loyalty. This is no exception. Go Tech.
Texas A&M @ Alabama (-27.5) - Every time I've gone "Alabama can't cover that big of a spread", they do so Arizona State @ Washington (-16.5) - I'm less mad at Washington now since the rankings are correcting themselves, but also they've looked a little sketch
Game of the Week Stanford @ Oregon - Look, just.... Grudges and Loyalty, ok?

I'm also kinda bummed Buffalo (-6) at Rutgers isn't on here, because I find it hilarious that Rutgers is a six point underdog at home against a MAC school.
Self-righteousness is incompatible with coalition building.
While I am mildly disappointed UCF/FAU didn't make it on there, I am also kind of relieved that I don't have to risk jinxing anything, because I am more superstitious than is advisable or healthy.
Also; I keep forgetting the game is tomorrow, Friday games be weird.
