Have we ever seen Red Mantle or Dragoon in their prime?

Just in flashbacks to how they got recruited by Fantômas.

EDIT: Also that Red Mantle is Buddy Holly and Dragoon is Big Bopper.

Ah right I remember that. I was thinking more as villains, I'm curious what their styles were like.

Ah right I remember that. I was thinking more as villains, I'm curious what their styles were like.

I mean, we know Red Mantle's a wizard (and Dragoon isn't) from the Halloween thing at the Arachnid Research Center / Orpheus' house a while back, which should be some kind of clue at least, but I agree, it'd be interesting to see. Probably they'll turn out to be off-brand versions of other Hanna Barbera / adventure-cartoon villains?

    New Episode's up

No big surprises, though the Guild pomp was one final delightful fake out of a final exam.

Excellent of them to also wrap around on what happened with the teleporter and where Phineas Phage was.

Looking forward to the next season sometime before the heat death of the universe.

Brock gets to cut loose with a wolverine-and-mouse henchman murder-spree
Monarch gets level 10 villain status in a highly amusing ceremony
It's confirmed that the Monarch and Doc are blood related while re-confirming that Doc is a clone - almost certainly a clone of the Monarch who is the son of Jonas and the Blue Morpho's wife after the Monarch was lost in that plane crash as a child

    I don't think that's right.
I think Doc is a clone of himself. His whole thing was using the tech his father had made, so he's just repurposed the clone tech that his father used on his own kids.

Doc also doesn't look like the Monarch and there are those memories of the two of them playing as children.

    Another big revelation
The boy's parents name is Bobby Saint Simone and she's an actress who left Dr. Venture when he got too obsessive and wound up having to change her name.

Also, I was totally sure that
They were going to kill Hank. I'm a sucker, I'll admit it.

It feels like its been a really long time since we had a good ol' fashioned Brock Is Fucking Terrifying Murder Party

I absolutely fucking love that coma land was accurately Empire and Barbarella and the wizard of oz all simultaneously

Was the Monarch not a level 10 before? How is he scarier now than he was with a hundred soldiers and a flying fortress?

Watch and Ward are low key two of my favorite characters

Im kind of glad they didnt wrap up or elaborate on the osi agent/guild stranger romeo and juliet double agent whatever the fuck that was thing. That whole mess was consistently the low point of the season for me

Monarch did a bunch of busywork and errands for the guild that raised his arching level by a lil bit each time.

I'm fairly certain he was a level 7 or 8 at the start of the series, then slipped down the ranks as he kept fucking up, but still was able to arch various folks.

After Rusty got a boost from inheriting VenTech, He rose to a level too high for Malcolm to arch at his level. He had to pay his dues again, as it were, to be worth arching Rusty again, which he is now.

Him sitting at hanks bedside, reading that list and then saying how he missed it just being the two of them.

As expected, the "level 10 initiation ceremony" was super archaic and dumb. I loved it! Part of me misses the guild under the Sovereign, though. It didn't seem to be stuck in the past as much back then. More lenient, and also more fun.

I feel like it's like a solid 80% of the reason why Hatred got elevated and stuck around to the degree that he has, and how Dr. Z became the most prominent councilmember besides Dr. Mrs. and Phantom Limb

Maybe one of my only minor critiques of the season as a whole:
they do such a big spotlight on Orpheus early on and make a point to say "hey, the Triad moved to New York!" and then they literally do not appear again and aren't even referenced

I think they were moving to New York. They were still deciding on real estate during the last episode they were in. I bet we'll see a stronger presence next season.
