proving once again that real life satanists are lame as hell

they're not very edgy but they're the ones who used that bullshit religious freedom law to force that state to put a statue of Baphomet out so, they're okay by me

Anyone who puts a statue of a goatman out is like baseline okay by me.

They're the same thing as the flying spaghetti monster people, they just got a better name attached to 'em

I want to like them for the Baphomet statue thing

But they're actually just the most irritating atheists when you look directly at them

I need to read more into it. But it's literally the exact same statue that just got put in front of the Arkansas Capitol Building. So if they didn't ask or compensate the artist who made it or whoever owns it that is pretty shitty.

Oh yeah, from looking at the two statues it's pretty clearly infringement.

I mean, if Dawkins isn't the top prize he certainly placed.

Dawkins has a lot of decent political opinions mixed in with the shit. The "Prominent Atheist" community includes people who legit carry water for nazis.

The God Delusion is actually a pretty interesting book with a lot of fascinating science in it, occasionally punctuated with a rant about religion.

I am now on that King of the Hill tip, I haven't watched it in years and years

as a kid I always thought the joke was Boomhauer was basically Chewbacca, you couldn't understand anything he said but the characters could

now as an adult he's...perfectly intelligible? he's just mealy-mouthed and doesn't really finish his thoughts, but he's actually contributing to conversations, people just kinda ignore him

I tried to watch some when I was home sick, because it's a show I really liked but almost never actually managed to catch while it was airing on Australian networks, so yay marathon! - and, well

Let's say Dale's ranting about globalists is less quirky nowadays. The show is still as good hearted as it always was, but right now I'm not sure I'm in the place for it.

A lot of Hank's conservative shit is a lot harder to deal with too. Like at the end of the day it doesn't matter that he's the butt of the joke most of the time and that he keeps learning to be less shitty, I still see the way he acts whenever Bobby does literally anything not toxically masculine and just think of the apoplectic fit he'd have if Bobby actually came out to him as queer.

I think Hank would be fine with that even if it took him a bit.
He interacts with several Queer people on the show and he never condemns them. At worst he genuinely just seems confused about their lifestyle but I attribute that to his repression about sexuality.

Dale is legitimately mentally ill though. They address this in at least one episode

I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

Bobby would probably be "one of the good ones". Or basically whatever happened between Dick Cheney and his daughter Mary.

Yeah, my dad was basically Boomhauer so I guess I was trained early on to translate.

Ah, it stinks, it sucks, it's anthropologically unjust

This New Yorker article about the Haunting of Hill House show probably does a better job of explaining some of my feelings with how it relates to the book than I could.

It's still a show I enjoyed nine episodes of, but that sour taste that the tenth left in my mouth is one that makes me wonder if I was drinking spoiled milk all along.

Alright, I watched the Always Sunny finale

I can't say how sure I am how much they earned that, but I certainly won't say it wasn't strangely moving

also it reminded me that Danny DeVito is 75 dang years old
