God, watching Paige and Portal 2. She immediately freaks out during a chase sequence, even though all she has to do is run down a narrow path following a glowing light that is constantly telling her to follow it. Then she walks directly into an incredibly obvious trap, stands there doing nothing, and is confused when she dies. While Pat just stares, then laughs, and says after, "How could you fall for that?"
Restart and go the other way, following the glowing trail and bright, guiding light. And as you avoid the trap Wheatley immediately says, "What? How stupid does she think we are?" Cue Paige cringing and Pat covering his mouth to hold back the laughter.
The negative speed bike power slides that somehow caused explosions.
The ballad of Greasy Steve where they fire several hundred bullets into the dastardly biker and the following cutscene reaction.
Pausing during the baptismal drowning while the effects still played.
The many many dry humps.
Running past entire scripted encounters and getting away with it.
Glitching another cutscene so that enemies repeatedly shot Jake for its duration.
It was the LP that kept on giving.

...wait, was this their plan the entire time? Get the less informed and early adopters with the basic idea. Then 'accidentally' leave the debug mode and 'test' ROMs on there for people to discover, and drive more sales later on. This way they don't have to actually bug test all the stuff in the extra menu or for the extra games, or pay to license them or whatever.
That's some bullshit. There's no way there's that many ISOs stuffed in there, right? That's the list of things they tested out with residual references in the code, maybe?

Probably? Some basic math makes it look like you could only fit 35 ISOs on the 16GB drive, and given that some of those games are multi-disc I don't think they'd all fit. Some of them might still be on, but I expect that most are just unremoved headers and whatnot.
Some of those were on the Japanese PS classic, I think. Parasite Eve, for instance.

The only proof he offers in the thread is that the names are in the source code. No evidence the games are actually on the machine.

Suikoden is better than a lot of games we actually got.

This gets to something about LPs and podcasts that I really like, because Matt's right. On it's own, that's not really funny. If you tried to, like, construct a joke around this, or even retell this moment to someone, they would probably not find it very funny. But it's hilarious in the moment, the way so many "you had to be there" moments are. LP's and podcasts are like these little windows into intimate conversations--in essence we get to "be there" for dumb natural moments like this and can appreciate them in the same experiential way.

"I hope that marijuana slaps!" "...what?" "That's a thing that I'm ruining. That's my new thing that I'm ruining. Remember I ruined dabs for everyone?" "Mmhmm." "Now I'm saying that things slap." "So you're ruining it for the children." "Yeah." "Why?" "Because it's fun. I'll never be cool. I'll ruin being cool for everyone else." "You've never said anything truer."

Pat's Game Awards stream was a bit disappointing between him calling 'RDR2 for everything because it just came out' and the stream being assholes every time a 'women/foreigners in gaming' thing came up.
And then SonicFox won and it was beautiful.

Big Spork if true.
Yup, PCSX ReARMed. I dunno why, considering all the very good emulators Sony already made.

You say this, but in Kingdom Hearts Matt just walked out of Merlin's house without looking at the book.

It has a couple of those "I'm in a bad mood and you look like just enough XP to level up" shirts Matt was talking about a while back.

Honestly though, it's kinda ridiculous to care about streaming overlap. Who cares? Don't care.
And Matt too
Really I empathize with both ends of that awkward situation
