I don't think I would agree with the last thing

it's a mess of a game and the writing is definitely pretty bad but I finished it, and I drop games the instant they bore me

I don't know, maybe that's because I'm perhaps a little too into star wars

I love star wars, and am willing to defend a lot of garbage bullshit associated with it, but that game is just awful

and yeah like tube said, it was incredibly hard on release because the balance was all over the place

I think I've heard the second one was better, though I never played it myself

once I found out they just brought back Starkiller I stopped caring

the second game is at least fun to play

    it's still incredibly stupid

The second one was actually worse. The theoretically fun core gameplay loop was almost non existent in favor of endless, exhausting QTE sequences

doing a direct sequel to the first game is a tremendous mixed opportunity

they could have made it into like an era-spanning anthology series, like maybe the second game you play as Kyle Katarn or some other post-RotJ Jedi Master, or during the Old Republic

anything would have been cooler than what they did

I beat that first Force Unleashed and remember, sorta liking it, but yeah it feels unplayable going back to it now.

I had a similar experience with the ROTS game on PS2. I remember it so fondly too.

starkiller just doesn't fit at goddamn all in star wars and the fact that the jedi purges continued for decades and consumed massive amounts of resources but somehow nobody knew about them is just

    fuck off with that shit

Wind Waker is a good post apocalypse game because its villain is obsessed with the old world and refuses to believe that people are actually living happily in the great sea

Starkiller was the most fucking boring character ever conceived. Mary Sue isn't a term I like to throw around too much, but he's essentially the poster child.

The Force Unleashed is one of relatively few games that I can genuinely say I hated. I just rarely feel that strongly about a game. It's Hitman: Silent Assassin/Alpha Protocol levels of detestable.

Those were elseworlds stories that they released in expansion packs, and while the gameplay was still garbage they did at least allow players to gleefully fuck up the star wars universe.

they should let more games do that

like throw canon to the winds

shadow of wardor already has Sexy Shelob and has you dual wielding Nazguls, you might as well go all out

darth vader's secret assassin/apprentice isn't like...a terrible idea, necessarily, but that execution of it definitely was

if nothing else I really don't understand why they thought the main character should be the least visually interesting person in the game

Every time I see hear someone say they're enjoying Hitman 2, it takes a second for it to register that that's not Silent Assassin, and I flash right back to you streaming those god awful missions in the tunnel

    I think that's it.

Once they ship Crackdown 3, I don't think they'll have any project in development that's been publicly announced for more than a year.

Shadow of Mordor / Shadow of War made the effort to at least try to look like it fit within LotR cannon, which made the betrayals that much more entertaining.

Yes, let's make a new ring of power. That seems like a good idea!

    It's a shame that
They fell back to playing it straight with "No, actually, this was a terrible idea. What the fuck is wrong with you, Talion?" The game was so delectably.. sacrilegious towards the themes in Tolkien's work up to that point.

Hey, remember how David Jaffe was all "Hey, deplatforming Nazi's is bad!"

Well, apparently he's picking fights with forumers on ResetEra about it. Literally challenging one of them, by name, to a debate.

I'd ask if he didn't have anything better to do with his time, but I guess after Drawn to Death, that no, he does not have anything better to do with his time.

I mean, isn't the jawbone slotted into a hinge?

It'd hold together on its own without the muscles and tendons, just less solidly, right?

No, it'd fall right off, it's just held on by muscles and tendons. There aren't any unfused bones in the human skeleton that fit together in such a way that they remain attached without the rest of the fleshy parts of the body growing around them.

Mammals have really complex joints connecting the skull and the mandible which allow them for example to chew their food (hooray mammals)

    Hey.

She was in the clones wars cartoon.

Between her cut deaths from RotS and the original Clone Wars cartoon and this its like a rule that she has to die in the most horrific/least dignified way.

The offer shows up in-game in 1 and 4, maybe Hardline, I can't really link the deal because it only shows up if you have the right games. From what I've seen it's an Xbox-only deal though, but I can't find any hard details about it so you'll just have to check I guess?
