I had not thought of Upstream Color as a reference point and it is a very good one

If I'm honest I dunno that I want them to adapt The City and The City

Not everything needs to be adapted and the prose format fits so perfectly that I don't know you could properly do it

I'd rather they develop something new than try tbh

Per Variety, the Resident Evil remake will be written and directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down)

if you ignore the adaptation and pretend it doesn't it exist it basically won't!

There definitely already is a low budget black and white adaptation of The Color Out of Space. It's ok.

    The color was purple.

I agree the the b&w was a bit much, a more subtle desaturating probably would have been better. Might've worked better if I didn't already know the story too, who knows.

3D version of The Color Out of Space where the whole film is flat except for the color fucking with everything.

Kevin Hart has been rapidly deleting a LOT of his old tweets which contained rampant homophobia and slurs since being announced as hosting the Oscars.

A stand-up special he did from 2010 also had an extended bit about how one of his worst fears was his son turning out to be gay.

The use of slurs and jokes seemed to stop on 2011, right when he first hit mainstream success, so while he could have absolutely learned and grown since then my gut instinct is that he was told to cut it out because it would hurt his career.

He just posted an “apology” and i will not be surprised if we learn he’s not hosting anymore. It’s that bad

He didn't post an apology he posted a desperate rant begging people to just ignore his bad behavior and leave him alone.

    What a shit.

That's not even an airquotes apology. That's an angry rebuttal.

But that's a different movie entirely!

(Real suggestion: start out normal saturation, gradually crank it down for the farm scenes. At the end/climax, when the thing is revealed, it's an iridescent swirling blob of everycolor, startlingly vivid among the greys. For any earlier hinting shots of the well, we put in flickers and reflections of same.)

And so I made a terrible mistake. When someone I knew, someone I had loved as a brother, was accused, I did something inexcusable: I publicly spoke up in his defense. There are few acts I could ever regret more in this life. I didn't have the "insider information" I claimed but rather blind faith in a story that kept slipping and changing and revealed itself to mean nothing at all.

And then she made a huge public show of apologizing to the Aurora's mom at an event, in front of a crowd. It was... Bad.

He's been accused for decades by a woman that he allegedly raped a woman while he was teaching in college. If the me too movement hasn't taken him down by now, I'm not convinced that this latest one is going to do anything.

Lena Dunham is the poster child for white fucking privilege.

Her reaction to Odell Beckham not talking to her is the perfect example.

I have to admit, I only saw it once as a child, and the Simpsons variant is way more present in my mind. I just have a very low tolerance for singing in movies
