My genetics just ain’t cut out for it
Never could do that much when I was 10 years younger, now can barely do this at all
Will regret for probably 2 days, and I was v good about water and food etc
Didn’t even have to be that drunk, tis just how my body does it
I drink water before I go out and I guzzle after I get home.
I haven’t had a hangover in like 4 years, it’s fucking awesome.
Yeah that doesn’t save me at all
I drink lots of water before
During
After
With food and electrolytes and salt
And sometimes even supplements
If I have more than 3 drinks these days my body is like nope, you’ve poisoned me, and my stomach dies and my brain is in a fog
Sometimes I feel off for more than a day
Even when I was a young college aged lad I could get hungover p easily but less easily and it lasted less and was easier to recover from
You’re lucky
Some people just have good drinking genetics / bodies
Others do not
I expect in a few hours everything will be v bad
(And it’s Friday so I can’t just mask it all day with being high which usually helps)
(It does make me jealous
I can’t even get too drunk without feeling unwell
But I guess that’s probably good to generally not drink too much because I know I’ll die)

Went to zoo lights at the national zoo with the boyfriend last night, it was a fun walk but as he put it "i expected it to be unbelievable but it turned out to be very believable"
It was still a very nice trip out though! Would recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant 40-60 minute stroll with some pleasant lights (provided its not too chilly)

That’s stinks, but in the long run it’s better having a strong incentive not to get blasted too regularly.
I may have discovered this super effective technique, but it hasn’t prompted any increase in drinking, which I had mostly stopped to avoid hangovers.
Once or twice a year of dedicated, let’s do shots type drinking is pllllleeeeennnnnnttttyyyyyyyyy
Like not quite southey south enough I don't know what civilization is but also south enough that I get stuck behind tractors on a regular basis and routinely hear gunfire and don't immediately duck in cover
Like, my gf said to me once "btw when I say my friends and I have gone out drinking and are now drunk, we mean like 4-5 drinks, nowhere near what you'd consider drunk." I could put away 10-12 pints or spirit equivalents on a proper night out, and do that a couple of nights in a row maybe.
I've recently tried to cut down a lot because the hangovers, expense, health considerations etc all add up. So my clubbing and hard drinking days are past, it's clubbing and gentle drinking now, outside special occasions!

3 or more and I'm no longer a good time at parties.
I feel the stuff I go though at work alone is an excuse to drink.
Which is good!
