And also, do ALL the worlds witches go to that one school? Like, why there? She was like GOTTA GO TO WITCH SCHOOL so I was expecting some like, train journey or something to witch school, but no, just walked for a bit down the local train tracks and boop, at witch school. That witch school is just for that one coven.

The only thing that didn't make sense to me in the end is how the hell they can maintain doing that dumb dark feast every year.
Well they’d only been doing it since Sabrina’s dad died. It was outlawed before that.
They had been doing it before he died and they didn't say exactly when he outlawed it.

Like, it was a tradition from the 1600s that had been continued until Sabrina's dad said to stop.

And they had been doing it for...how long have her parents been dead for in the series? I just know she's 16 and they died when she was a kid. That's still a lot for what looks to be a teeny tiny coven.
Hmm, true. Father Blackwood also mentions that the coven used to be more polyamorous which probably led to lots more children.

Then again, they have 14 month pregnancies...

    Nothing. Matters.

Alright other random thought for someone who’s watched through to the end.
Did Ms. Wardwell / Madam Satan cast the hellfire on the Greendale 13? They make a real point to cut to her when they say only “devils” and three witches have ever cast it before.

    Nothing. Matters.

So is Suzy ftm or ftm transgendered ?The show isn't super clear on that. Roz seemed to think being called a boy would insult them but later someone else I assume would know does and they're fine

they're played by a nonbinary actor, Lachlan Watson, and though I have not finished the show yet, they seem to be a queer teen who's in the process of self-discovery wrt: their identity. the lack of specificity in terminology I believe is intentional

edit: here is in fact a brief talk with them at teen vogue on the very subject

I was a little confused by this because they do refer to her as she, and she specifically asks for a girls' night at one point, but then i've heard people call her nonbinary so I was like???

Watched 2 episodes so far, and I'll probably keep going out of inertia

The narration at the end of ep2 confused me, though
She basically said no to getting the baptism and somehow that's a third choice? I assume it's covered in the next episode but so far it's been presented as "be a witch or don't" and I didn't get anything other than "don't" from the end of the episode

Third choice is being a witch in the coven and not signing the book, not giving up her mortal life in the process. Aka having your cake and eating it too.

I finished this last night and I uh mostly thought it was bad?

    Whole show spoilers
This show goes to the well of outing people twice against their wishes and also implies one of the main bullies is a bully because.. he was molested?

Why did the grandma let her granddaughter and friend stay with her while the entire town was under attack?

Am I supposed to like any of the other witches? They're all petty shithead murderers.

There was also a strange thing where anyone with a varsity jacket on was assumed to be fair game for getting murdered or humiliated.

I don't know, it was real messy.

My main critique with the show is it has an identity crisis, it seems like it can't decide on whether it wants to be horror, comedy, drama, etc.

Much like Riverdale, it's still entertaining, and definitely more cohesive.

Renewed for S3 & S4. Ambrose better get his damn cobra twins.
Good news for any and all who were enchanted by Netflix’s macabre Halloween ’18 release, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: the show will be around for years to come. With a second season still looming over the horizon, prepped for release on the streaming platform in April of 2019, Sabrina has nonetheless officially put a third and fourth season into motion.

Variety reports that Netflix has ordered 16 more episodes of the program to be distributed among the two seasons, which will begin production in ’19 and presumably reach the viewing public in 2020 and 2021. In the meantime, we’ve got Sabrina‘s holiday special, which only just hit the ‘net on December 14, to fill the Greendale void.

In her ravenous hatred, she found no peace

and with boiling blood, she scoured the umbral planes,

seeking vengeance against the dark lord who had wronged her.

And those who had tasted the bite of her sword named her,
