I'll have the lion attack Blue since we'll all be able to move + attack it that way

Do you want it to be attacking from the South or the West? Both are an equal distance to move so you can choose.

    Hint:
South will be better as it means me and Phyphor can both reach to stab it in the bum.

@38thDoe can decide to spend his survival point to dodge one of the hits (receiving only a light injury)

    After that, it's player's turn.

    Player Turn

    Jdarksun (monster controller)
    Phyphor
    38th Doe (knocked down)
    Jam Warrior

Lion is directly below blue (with blue on the right side space)

Blue is unable to act until next turn (if not dodged).

    Hoo boy. Good start.

In the name of expediancy I will go first as I'm online and a fairly logical choice.

Move forward 4 spaces to behind the lion. Stab.

    Geth roll 2d10

    2d10 14 [2d10=9, 5]

Bam, straight in the 'nards (maybe).

I'd suggest saving the survival points for when real injuries are at risk.

Seems like I should save the dodge for preventing a severe injury. Although will the lion be forced to attack me again next turn since I'll be in front of it?

It's hard to predict currently as us hitting it can cause it to react and move around.

    The lion gets reaction attacks?

edit: was that an effect of the drawn hit location card?

Yup. Sometimes on a miss, sometimes on a hit. A critical hit will cancel reactions.

If you get multiple hits you have to carefully choose which to resolve first as a reaction can cancel unresolved hits if the monster moves or the attacker dies.

On some hit location cards, yes. Some will react no matter what. "Failure" ones only react if the hit fails to wound. A critical hit will cancel any reaction.

Without reaction attacks, players in the blind spot would be invincible.

I just ask no spoilers or allusions to events or monsters bosses to come. Even I'm flying blind on that.

I’ve started a couple of campaigns that both petered out, and had intended to stay back from ‘plot’ decisions if I can remember the results.

Standing up takes place at the end of the next monster turn.

It's mostly like to so you're not a threat the next monster turn, to prevent it from just focusing one person down.

Davin chips the lion's femur and gives its tail a good yank.

The beast yelps and bites down on Vance's chest to block the pain, and carries him forward 5 spaces before dropping him to the ground, knocked down.

    Torso
    light injury->heavy injury

note: using a survival point to dodge cannot be used against reaction attacks.

    He’s been.

Pretty sure you can dodge reaction attacks if they are a normal attack with a hit roll etc. No dodging that grab though.

Don’t forget the critical leg injury!

Phyphor snagged a sweet "Great Cat Bones" resource from that femur critical hit!
