I like Vegeta developing SSB to a level only he can achieve and embracing his Saiyan pride as his ultimate skill while Goku instead hones his craft as strictly a martial artist and going deeper down the UI road.

Give them some divergence in their skills and powers!

Yeah, Vegeta playing catch up was awesome up to SSJ2 when he was in a constant, serious rivalry with Goku and his own pride. Him playing catch up now just makes him more of a second fiddle than Super already made him.

I think Royal Blue Vegeta is on par with SSBKxwhatever Goku, which should be a form that they can both do on demand.

Vegeta is more on par with Goku and a secondary protaganist to the show with Super than he has literally ever been except maybe when he first showed up in Z

Vegeta isn’t going Uptra Instinct ever.

A huge part of the ToP arc was him no longer being consumed with living in Goku’s shadow, and considering him more of a friendly rival, than a begrudging one.

He tried that in the wake of Cell and Buu, too. Maybe this time it’ll take?

Those times were never serious because nothing was ever resolved. The first fight ended in a relative stalemate even though he was left more physically able, then he has to work with him on Namek where he is massively surpassed, then he catches up before the Cell saga but is neither able to get a rematch with Goku or prove his superiority by defeating Cell himself, instead having to rely on Goku's son. He put it on the backburner because he literally couldn't fight Goku anymore after that but he was still pushing himself so intensely that he had kept up with Goku up to SSJ2, so I assume he was just waiting for the day alive or dead he would get his rematch, and then Goku comes back and here is the first chance in like a decade (I cant remember the timeline) to finally avenge his pride and reclaim his position as prince over some lowly grunt.

I wish that the show had used the manga's reasoning for why Vegeta ended up losing for Hit.

Considering he was an antagonist throughout Z that would make sense. But he was also less of a joke character doing dances for Beerus and wearing aprons to do housework for him. He's not a jobber, yes he's powerful, but the difference between Z Vegeta and Super Vegeta is like night and day.

I mean he fights a guy who decides to be a God of destruction and wins because he loves his family. That's as Shonen protagonist as it gets

I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

There's that moment in Z where Vegeta realizes that he actually does love his family and his time on Earth.

It's fantastic and probably the best moment Vegeta has ever or will ever have.

Close second is taking Trunks to the park.

Third is whenever he dunks on Yamcha.

Vegeta settling down enough to do stuff like the dance or caring for Trunks and Bulma is the thing to happen to his character

The delivery of "Let's go see Yamcha" is the finest thing Vegeta has ever done.

In Xenoverse, every time you change from one trainer to another, all of the other trainers will say something about your choice. I think everybody says that Krillin's oldfashioned basics and willingness to pocketsand/shank people probably make him a good trainer.

But he cared for Bulma and Trunks in Z in what was his defining (and IMO should've been his final) moment. And it was done better.

He sacrificed his life for them

    Thats nice

Super Vegeta went to a theme park with his hyperactive son and wife who he has neglected

    Thats true courage
